Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,
August 8, 2015
August -- Augustus Caesar's month
Latin Augustus
"Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis "month of
Augustus"
Latin sextilis mensis "sixth month"
Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.
Augustus Caesar clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the process, he also renamed this month after himself.

We acknowledge God’s calendar
We are now in the 5th month, 22 day - no name in scripture
Judaism calls it Av. Not scriptural.

Let’s start:
Gen.22
[1] And it came
to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and
said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
[2] And he said, Take now thy son, thine
only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee
into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt
offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
[3] And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and
took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for
the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told
him.
[4] Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place
afar off.
[5] And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and
I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you,
[6] And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon
Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went
both of them together.
[7] And Isaac spake unto Abraham
his father, and said, My father: and he
said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and
the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
[8] And Abraham said, My son, God will
provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them
together.
[9] And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham
built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and
laid him on the altar upon the wood.
[10] And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay
his son.
[11] And the angel of Yehovah called unto
him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
[12] And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the
lad, neither do thou any thing unto him:
for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing
thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
[13] And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a
ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and
offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
[14] And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh:
as it is said to this day, In the mount of Yehovah
it shall be seen.
[15] And the angel of Yehovah called unto
Abraham out of heaven the second time,
[16] And said, By myself have I sworn, saith
Yehovah,
for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine
only son:
[17] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will
multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the
sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
[18] And in thy seed shall all the
nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
Gen.26
[1] And there was
a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham.
And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of
the Philistines unto Gerar.
[2] And Yehovah appeared unto him, and said, Go
not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
[3] Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee;
for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will
perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham
thy father;
[4] And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and
will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the
nations of the earth be blessed;
[5] Because that Abraham obeyed my
voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
Exod.19
[1] In the third
month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt,
the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.
[2] For they were departed from Rephidim, and were
come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there
Israel camped before the mount.
[3] And Moses went up unto God, and Yehovah
called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt
thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
[4] Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on
eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
[5] Now
therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed,
and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a
peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
[6]
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the
words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Exod.23
[20] Behold, I
send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the
place which I have prepared.
[21] Beware
of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your
transgressions: for my name is in him.
[22] But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
Deut.4
[30]
When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in
the latter days, if thou turn to Yehovah thy God, and shalt
be obedient unto his voice;
[31] (For Yehovah thy God is a merciful God;) he
will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy
fathers which he sware unto them.
Deut.11
[26]
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
[27] A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of Yehovah
your God, which I command you this day:
[28] And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of Yehovah
your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go
after other gods, which ye have not known.
Deut.13 [4] Ye shall walk after Yehovah your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
Deut.27 [10] Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of Yehovah thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.
Deut.30
[1] And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon
thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt
call them to mind among all the nations, whither Yehovah
thy God hath driven thee,
[2] And shalt return unto Yehovah
thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee
this day, thou and thy children, with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul;
[3] That then Yehovah
thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return
and gather thee from all the nations, whither Yehovah
thy God hath scattered thee.
[4] If any of thine
be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will Yehovah
thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
[5] And Yehovah
thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt
possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
[6] And Yehovah
thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the
heart of thy seed, to love Yehovah thy God with
all thine
heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
[7] And Yehovah
thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies,
and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
[8] And thou shalt return and obey the voice of Yehovah, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
[9] And Yehovah
thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine
hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the
fruit of thy land, for good: for Yehovah will again
rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
[10] If thou shalt
hearken unto the voice of Yehovah thy God, to
keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the
law, and if thou turn unto Yehovah thy God with
all thine
heart, and with all thy soul.
[11] For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not
hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
[12] It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest
say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear
it, and do it?
[13] Neither is it beyond the
sea, that thou shouldest say, Who
shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do
it?
[14] But the word is very nigh
unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest
do it.
[15] See, I have set before thee this day life
and good, and death and evil;
[16] In that I command thee this day to love Yehovah thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and Yehovah thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
[17] But if thine
heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt
be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
[18] I denounce unto you this
day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon
the land, whither thou passest over Jordan
to go to possess it.
[19]
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before
you life and death, blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may
live:
[20] That thou mayest love Yehovah thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which Yehovah sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
Josh.24
[19] And Joshua said unto the people, Ye
cannot serve Yehovah: for he is an holy God; he is a
jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.
[20] If ye forsake Yehovah,
and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you,
after that he hath done you good.
[21]
And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve Yehovah.
[22] And Joshua said unto the people, Ye
are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you Yehovah,
to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
[23]
Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and
incline your heart unto Yehovah God of
Israel.
[24]
And the people said unto Joshua, Yehovah our God will
we serve, and
his voice will we obey.
[25]
So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and
an ordinance in Shechem.
[26]
And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great
stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the
sanctuary of Yehovah.
[27] And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of Yehovah which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
Isa.1
[18] Come now, and let us reason together, saith
Yehovah:
though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white
as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
[19] If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
[20] But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.
Jer.7
[22] For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
[23]
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God,
and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded
you, that it may be well unto you.
[24]
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and
in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
[25] Since
the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I
have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and
sending them:
[26] Yet they hearkened not unto
me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their
fathers.
[27]
Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them;
but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto
them; but they will not answer thee.
[28] But thou shalt
say unto them, This
is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of Yehovah
their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is
perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
[29] Cut off thine
hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places;
for Yehovah
hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
[30] For the children of Judah
have done evil in my sight, saith Yehovah:
they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to
pollute it.
[31] And they have built the
high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the
son of Hinnom,
to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not,
neither came it into my heart.
[32] Therefore, behold, the days
come, saith
Yehovah,
that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the
valley of the son of Hinnom, but the
valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet,
till there be no place.
[33] And the carcases
of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven,
and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
[34] Then will I cause to cease
from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of
mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of
the bride: for the land shall be desolate.’

There are to0 many verses that say they did
not obey the voice of the Yehovah their God
Here are a
few; you may read the whole chapters later
Exod.5
[2] And Pharaoh
said, Who
is Yehovah,
that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not Yehovah,
neither will I let Israel go.

Then there
is Yeshua

Remember:
2 Cor.10
[3] For
though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
[4] (For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong
holds;)
[5] Casting down imaginations,
and every high thing that exalteth itself
against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Messiah;
[6] And having in a readiness to
revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
