The Gregorian calendar (Pope Gregory, 1500's) – July 2, 2011
--------------
Sad to say,
English Julie
Latin Julius "Julius"
Latin Julius mensis "month of Julius"
Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar (then called the Julian calendar) in 46 BC. As you see, he renamed this month after himself.

We restore the calendar of God
We are in the 3rd month of God called Sivan, 29th day
Esth. 8 [9] Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan…

This evening we will start the 4th month of God, which has no name in scripture.
Should we call the 4th month Tammuz as Judaism says? No!
Tammuz - (pagan deity)îÀáÇëÌåÉú àÆúÎäÇ úÌÇîÌåÌæ - a Sumerian deity of food or vegetation, a Phoenician deity
Ezek.8 [14] Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz

Side note – Monday, July 4
Short History
Independence Day is commonly known as the Fourth of July
Created: June–July 1776 Ratified July 4, 1776
The day the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress
The United States Declaration of Independence is a statement adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain were now independent states, and thus no longer a part of the British Empire. Written primarily by Thomas Jefferson, the Declaration is a formal explanation of why Congress had voted on July 2 to declare independence from Great Britain, more than a year after the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War.
Again, the so-called birthday of the United States of America—Independence Day—is celebrated on July 4, the day the wording of the Declaration was approved by Congress.

I digress…
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I explain the Sabbath, the 7th day, each week
This is how simple it is:
Exod. 20
[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
------------
Same in Deut. 5
[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy
daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger
that is within thy gates; that thy
manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of
Egypt, and that Yehovah thy God brought thee out
thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yehovah thy God commanded
thee to keep the sabbath day.
------------
Lev. 23
[3] Six days shall work be done:
but
the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an “holy convocation”;
ye shall do no work therein:
it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.
--------
Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,
1 - not doing thine own ways,
2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,
3 - nor speaking thine own words:
[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.
------------------------
Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath
Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?
-----------------
The first day is mentioned only 2 times when they met for a certain event in Acts and the letter to the Corinthians
It never says the 1st day replaced the 7th day as Sabbath
It never says the 1st day is a Commandment or a rest
Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
1Corinthians 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
------------------------
We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.
60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!

Topic: Our journeying - Our life
Is the God of Israel with you on you journeys?
Are you meeting the God of Israel in or on His:
Congregations, assemblies, appointed time (s), seasons, feasts,
solemnities?
Most of the world is all doing the wrong feasts, going to the wrong assemblies, meeting and associating with the wrong god or gods.
----------------------------------------
Our life is our journey
Our journeying is not that different then the journeys of the children of Israel, study them.
-------------
Our journeying is not that different then Noah
Luke 17 [26] And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.[27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Our journeying is not that different then Lot
[28] Likewise also as it was in the days of
Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted,
they builded;
[29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and
brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
[30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
[31] In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
[32] Remember Lot's wife.
[33] Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever
shall lose his life shall preserve it.
40 years – a typical generation
---------
Watch what you may hear on your journeying
2 Pet. 2
[1] But there were
false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers
among you, who privily shall bring in damnable
heresies, even denying Yehovah that bought them, and
bring upon themselves swift destruction.
[2] And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
[3] And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make
merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
[4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Noah
[5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
Lot
[6] And turning the
cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them
with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live
ungodly;
[7] And delivered just Lot, vexed
with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
[8] (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing,
vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
[9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly
out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be
punished:

Sometimes it may feel like we are journeying into a wilderness or
desert
Ponder the words “wilderness and desert” for a while

Do you move on your own or wait for God?
Num. 9
[15] And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
[16] So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
[17] And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
[18] At the commandment of Yehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Yehovah they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.
[19] And when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of Yehovah, and journeyed not.
[20] And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of Yehovah they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of Yehovah they journeyed.
[21] And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
[22] Or whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
[23] At the commandment of Yehovah they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of Yehovah they journeyed: they kept the charge of Yehovah, at the commandment of Yehovah by the hand of Moses.

Sometimes, on our journeying, walking through our lives, things may not go as we think they should - don't look back!
Sometimes, on our journeying, walking through our lives, in a wilderness, "there is no food" - watch your murmurings in your life
Num. 11 [4] And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?
[18] And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of Yehovah, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore Yehovah will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.\
[19] Ye shall not
eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
[20] But even a whole month, until it come out at your nostrils, and it
be loathsome unto you: because that ye have despised Yehovah which is among you, and
have wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
----------
Sometimes, on our journeying (walking through our life) in a wilderness, "there might be no water" - watch your murmurings in your life
Num. 20
[1] Then came the children of Israel, even the whole
congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and
the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there,
and was buried there.
[2] And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered
themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.
[3] And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before Yehovah!
[4] And why have ye brought up the congregation of Yehovah into this
wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?
[5]
And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this
evil place? it is no place of seed, or
of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is
there any water to drink.
-----------------
Are we walking together?
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Amos 3 [1] Hear this word that the YEHOVAH hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, [2] You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities. [3] Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
----------
It
seems always just before the Spring Feasts of Yehovah and shortly after, our
congregation diminishes.
Summer
is here, and serving God just doesn’t fit in many lifestyles.
----------
Remember this: Yeshua said,
Matt.
10 [34]
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I
came not to send peace, but a sword.
[35] For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the
daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
[36] And a man's foes shall be they of his own
household.
[37] He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
[38] And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
[39] He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he
that loseth his life for my sake shall
find it.
----------
Luke
14 [26] If any man come to me, and hate not his
father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and
his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
Simply put, whatever you put before God is your God. It is fine to prosper, be successful or be educated. Just make sure God is FIRST in everything.
3 John 1 [2] Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
----------
Don't look back
Some Christians (Messiah
followers) say, this life is hard,
things just don’t go my way, why doesn’t God move for me, it seems it is vain
to serve God and start to look back
Mal. 3 [14] Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the YEHOVAH of hosts?
----------
Exod. 14 [11] And they said unto
Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt , hast thou taken us away to die
in the wilderness? wherefore
hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
[12] Is
not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?
For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die
in the wilderness.
Ecc. 7 [10] Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.
----------
John
6 [66] From
that time many of his disciples went back, and
walked no more with him.[67] Then said Yeshua unto the twelve, Will ye also
go away?[68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Yehovah, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of
eternal life.
[69] And we believe and are sure that thou art that Messiah, the Son of
the living God.
[70] Yeshua answered them, Have not I
chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Luke 22 [48] But Yeshua said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss

1 John 2 [18] Little children, it is the last time: and as ye
have heard that antiMessiah shall come, even now are there many antiMessiahs; whereby we know
that it is the last time.
[19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had
been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that
they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
----------
Jer. 7 [24] But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
----------
2 Pet. 2 [20] For if after they
have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Yehovah and Saviour Yeshua the Messiah, they are again
entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the
beginning.
[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of
righteousness, than, after they have known it, to
turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
[22] But it is happened unto them according to the
true proverb, The dog is
turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in
the mire.
Prov. 26 [11] As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

Luke
17 [26]
And as it was in the days of
Noe, so shall it be also in the
days of the Son of man.
[27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in
marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the
flood came, and destroyed them all.
[28] Likewise also as it
was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they

[30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
[31] In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in

let him likewise not return back.
[32] Remember Lot's wife.
Gen.19 [26] But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Walk while ye have the light!
John 12 [35] Then Yeshua said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. [36] While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.

Our
lives may feel like we are “travelling into a far country”
The kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country
Matt. 25
[14] For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far
country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his
goods.
[15] And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one;
to every man according to his several
ability;
and straightway took his journey.
[16] Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the
same, and made them other five talents.
[17] And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
[18] But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his
lord's money.
[19] After a long time the Lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
[20] And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five
talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents:
behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
[21] His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and
faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy
of thy lord.
[22] He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents:
behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
[23] His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful
servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy
of thy lord.
[24] Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I
knew thee that thou art an hard
man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
[25] And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo,
there thou hast that is thine.
[26] His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful
servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed
not, and gather where I have not strawed:
[27] Thou oughtest therefore to have put my
money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own
with usury.
[28] Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath
ten talents.
[29] For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have
abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he
hath.
[30] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there
shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
[31] When the Son
of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he
sit upon the throne of his glory:
[32] And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
[33] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the
left.
[34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed
of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the
world:
[35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I
was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
[36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in
prison, and ye came unto me.
[37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee
an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
[38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
[39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
[40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have
done it unto me.
[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me,
ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[42] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat:
I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
[43] I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me
not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
[44] Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a
stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
[45] Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of
these, ye did it not to me.
[46] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the
righteous into life eternal.

Our lives may feel like we are “taking a far journey”
Son of man is as a man taking a far journey
Mark 13 [34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
[35] Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
[36] Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
[37] And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch
