Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,
July 18, 2015
July -- Julius Caesar's month
Middle English Julie
Latin Julius "Julius"
Latin Julius mensis "month of Julius"
Latin quintilis mensis "fifth month"
Quintilis (and later Julius) has always had 31 days.
Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar (hence the Julian calendar) in 46 BC. In the process, he renamed this month after himself.

We acknowledge God’s calendar
We are now in the 5th month, 1st day - no name in scripture
Judaism calls it Av. Not scriptural.

Question: Why are we here today?
Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at mount Sinai in the 3rd month Sivan
The 4th commandment of the 10 Commandments is the Sabbath
Exod. 20 [8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep
it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in
it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that
in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah
blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Exod.31 [13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Yehovah that doth sanctify you.
[14] Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death:
for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
--------------
Lev.23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.
--------------
Deut. 5 [12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as
Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee.
[13]
Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in
it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy
cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy
maidservant may rest as well as thou.
[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that
Yehovah thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a
stretched out arm: therefore Yehovah thy God
commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Messianic Prophecies of Messiah Yeshua
Over 300
I will explore a little at a time
Luke 24 [44] And he, Yeshua said
unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with
you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms,
concerning me.
--------------
Let’s start
Messiah
is from the “Seed of the woman,” Messiah was to bruise Satan’s head (Gen. 3:15 with Gal.
4:4).
---------------
Messiah
is the Seed of Abraham (Gen. 22:17, 18 with Gal. 3:16)
Gen. 22 [17] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in
multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the
sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his
enemies;[18]
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou
hast obeyed my voice.
Gal.
3: [16]
Now
to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And
to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Messiah.
--------------------
Messiah
is the Seed of David (Psa. 132:11, Jer. 23:5
with Acts 13:22, 23)
Acts
13 [22] And when he had removed him, he raised up
unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I
have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil
all my will [23] Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised
unto Israel a Saviour, Yeshua…
-------------------
Messiah
was to come from the tribe of Judah (Gen.
49:10 – with Rev.5:5, Heb. 7:14).
Gen.
49 [10] The sceptre
shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh
come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Heb.
7 [14] For it is evident
that our Lord sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing
concerning priesthood.
----------------
Messiah was to come at a specified time (Gen. 49:10, Dan. 9:24-25 with Gal. 4:4, 5)
Gen.
49 [10] The sceptre
shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh
come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Dan.
9 [24] Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people
and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of
sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most
Holy.
[25] Know therefore and understand, that from the going
forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the
Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be
built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
[26] And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for
himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city
and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end
of the war desolations are determined.
Gal.4
[4] But when the fulness
of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the
law,
[5] To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption
of sons.
--------------------
Messiah
was to be born of a virgin (Isa. 7:14
with Matt. 1:18-23; also Luke 1:27, 35, 36),
[35] And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon
thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that
holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Great
persons were to visit and adore Him (Psa. 72 with
Matt. 2:).
Through
the rage of a jealous king Herod
Pss.72
[1] Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy
righteousness unto the king's son.
[2] He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
[3] The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by
righteousness.
[4] He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall
save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
[5] They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all
generations.
[6] He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the
earth.
[7] In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so
long as the moon endureth.
[8] He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the
ends of the earth.
[9] They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies
shall lick the dust.
[10] The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring
presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer
gifts.
[11] Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
[12] For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth;
the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
[13] He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
[14] He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall
their blood be in his sight.
[15] And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer
also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
[16] There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon
the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they
of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
[17] His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the
sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
[18] Blessed be Yehovah God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
[19] And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be
filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
[20] The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
[1] Now when Yeshua was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in
the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to
Jerusalem,
[2] Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for
we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
[3] When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all
Jerusalem with him.
[4] And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people
together, he demanded of them where Messiah should be born.
[5] And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by
the prophet,
[6] And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the
least among the princes of Juda: for out of
thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
[7] Then Herod, when he had privily called the
wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
[8] And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the
young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come
and worship him also.
[9] When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they
saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young
child was.
[10] When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
[11] And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary
his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their
treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Innocent
children were to be slaughtered at that time (Jer. 31:15 with Matt. 2:16-18)
Matt. 2 [16] Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was
exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in
Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under,
according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men. [17]
Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying,
[18] In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great
mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because
they are not.
-----------------
Messiah was to be preceded by a forerunner, John the Baptist, before entering His public ministry (Isa. 40:3,4,5 -
Mal. 3:1 with Matt. 3:1-3, :10 and Luke 7:27 - Mark 1:2)
Isa.
40 [3] The voice of him
that crieth
in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yehovah, make straight in the desert a
highway for our God.
[4] Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made
low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
[5] And the glory of Yehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it
together: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.
[2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[3] For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias,
saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make his paths straight.
---------------
Messiah
was to be a prophet like Moses (Deut.
18:15& 18 with Acts 3:19-23)
[18] I will raise them up a Prophet from among their
brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall
speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Acts 3 [19] Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
[20] And he shall send Yeshua Messiah, which before was preached unto you:
[21] Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things,
which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world
began.
[22] For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God
raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all
things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
[23] And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that
prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

Messiah
has a special anointing of the Holy Spirit (Psa.
45:6,7
- Isa. 11 many prophecies, 61:1-3 with John 3:34, Luke 4:14-18, 19) many others
Luke
4 [14] And Yeshua returned in the power of
the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of
him through all
the region round about.
[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath
sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and
recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
[19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
John 3:[34] For he
whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God
giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
Psa.
45: [6] Thy throne, O God, is for ever
and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
[7] Thou lovest
righteousness, and hatest wickedness:
therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of
gladness (the spirit) above thy
fellows.
[1] And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of
Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
[2] And the spirit of Yehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and
might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yehovah;
[3] And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of Yehovah: and he shall
not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his
ears:
[4] But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for
the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
[5] And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the
girdle of his reins.
[6] The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down
with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a
little child shall lead them.
[7] And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down
together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
[8] And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned
child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
[9] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy
mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Yehovah, as the
waters cover the sea.
[10] And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an
ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be
glorious.
Isa.
61 [1] The Spirit of the Lord Yehovah is upon me; because Yehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
[2] To proclaim the acceptable year of Yehovah, and the day of vengeance of our
God; to comfort all that mourn;
[3] To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for
ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of
Yehovah, that he might be glorified.
-----------------------
Messiah
was to be a priest after the order of Melchisedec
(Psa. 110:4 with Heb. 5:5-10, 6:20).
-----------------------
Messiah, as the
“Servant of the Lord,” Messiah was to be a faithful and patient redeemer, for
the Gentiles as well as the Jews (Isa. 42:1, 4, 6 with Matt. 12).
[1] Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom
my soul delighteth;
I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
[2] He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the
street.
[3] A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not
quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
[4] He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have
set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
Matt.
12 [8] For the Son of man
is Lord even of the sabbath day.
[9] And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
[10] And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked
him, saying, Is
it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that
they might accuse him.
[11] And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have
one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath
day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12] How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do
well on the sabbath days.
[13] Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it
forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
[14] Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they
might destroy him.
[15] But when Yeshua knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great
multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
[16] And charged them that they should not make him known:
[17] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias
the prophet, saying,
[18] Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well
pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew
judgment to the Gentiles.
[19] He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the
streets.
[20] A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench,
till he send forth judgment unto victory.
[21] And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
----------------------
Messiah’s
ministry was to begin in Galilee, Zebulun
and Naphtali (Isa. 9:1-2 with Matt. 4:12-16, 23);
[1] Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in
her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land
of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict
her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
[2] The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell
in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Matt.
4 [12] Now when Yeshua had heard that John was cast
into prison, he departed into Galilee;
[13] And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the
sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:
[14] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias
the prophet, saying,
[15] The land of Zabulon, and the
land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of
the Gentiles;
[16] The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in
the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
[23] And Yeshua went about all Galilee, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of
sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
-------------------
Messiah
was to enter Jerusalem on a donkey - (Zech. 9:9
with Matt. 21:1-10) to bring salvation.
Messiah
was meek and lowly
----------------------
Messiah
was to enter the temple before it was destroyed (Hag. 2:7, 8, 9, Mal. 3:1-2)
Many
places in the Gospels
Mal.
3 [1] Behold, I will send my messenger, and he
shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall
suddenly come to this temple, even the
messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith
Yehovah of hosts. [2] But who may abide the day of his coming? and
who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is
like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
[3] And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and
he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they
may offer unto Yehovah an offering in righteousness.
Hag.
2 [7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of
all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith Yehovah of
hosts.
[8] The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith Yehovah of hosts.
[9] The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith
Yehovah of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith Yehovah of hosts.
--------------------
His
zeal for Yehovah is spoken many times
--------------------
Messiah’s
manner of teaching was to be by parables, too many to list
------------------------
Messiah’s
ministry was to be characterized by miracles (Isa. 35: too many to list
[1] The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad
for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
[2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the
glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency
of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of Yehovah, and the excellency
of our God.
[3] Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the
feeble knees.
[4] Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be
strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence;
he will come and save you.
[5] Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall
be unstopped.
[6] Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the
tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and
streams in the desert.
[7] And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of
water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds
and rushes.
[8] And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of
holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the
wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
[9] No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon,
it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
[10] And the ransomed of Yehovah shall return, and come to Zion with songs and
everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and
sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
John 2 [11] This
beginning of miracles did Yeshua in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his
glory; and his disciples believed on him.
[23] Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover,
in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which
he did.
John 3 [2] The
same came to Yeshua by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a
teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except
God be with him.
John 6 [2] And
a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on
them that were diseased.
[26] Yeshua answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat
of the loaves, and were filled.
John 7 [31] And
many of the people believed on him, and said, When Messiah cometh, will he do
more miracles than these which this man hath done?
John 9 [16] Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man
is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath
day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such
miracles? And there was a division among them.
---------------------
Messiah
was to be rejected by His friends and brethren (Psa. 41:9, with John 7:5
[3] He is despised
and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as
it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
[4] Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried
our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
[5] But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we
are healed.
[6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one
to his own way; and Yehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[7] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is
brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,
so he openeth
not his mouth.
[8] He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his
generation? for
he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my
people was he stricken.
[9] And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the
rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in
his mouth.
[10] Yet it pleased Yehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou
shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall
prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yehovah shall prosper in his hand.
[11] He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his
knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their
iniquities.
[12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide
the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and
he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors.
