Let’s pray
--------------------------
Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from
the 1500’s
Today is September 15, 2012
September -- the seventh month (wrong- today it is the 9th)
September had 30 days, until Numa
when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.
The word Saturday—Saturn’s day
Saturn is the Roman and Italic God of
agriculture. He is believed to have ruled the earth during
an age of happiness and virtue. (When was that?)
This day was called dies Saturni,
"Saturn's Day", by the ancient Romans in honor
of Saturn.
I digress…
------------------
Yehovah has His own calendar
Today is the 7th day of the
week
We are now in the 6th month called Elul, 27th day.
(Part of August /
Sept. 2012)
-------------------------------
No direct scripture for the name of the 6th
month. This is how we came to this conclusion:
Neh.6 [15] So the wall was finished in the twenty
and fifth day of the month Elul,ì
àÁìåÌì in fifty and two days
When the seventh month came….
Neh.7[73] So the priests, and the Levites, and
the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel
were in their cities.

The 7th month of
God – ha Ethanim (1Kings 8:2)

Day of Atonement - a Sabbath - Thursday,
Sept 27th, (starts Wednesday evening)
Feast of Tabernacles - Starts Tuesday, October 2nd and ends Tuesday, October 9th -
the 2nd and 9th are Sabbaths
---------------------
Before we start part 2 of our topic
today, I feel it is important to go over how to keep the Sabbath being there
are four extra Sabbaths in the 7th month coming up.
Let’s start:
The 4th Commandment
is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month,
Sivan
We read from law and
the prophets every Sabbath.
60 times in the Gospels and
letters it uses the word Sabbath
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it
holy.
æëø zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive
root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication
to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make
to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, still,
think on, well.
-----
Back to Ex. 20
[9]
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10]
But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy
daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger
that is within thy gates:
[11]
For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the Sabbath day,
and hallowed it.
Rev.1 [10] I was in the Spirit on Yehovah's Day - (The Sabbath)
------------
Lev. 23 [3] Six days
shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath
of rest, an "holy
convocation";
ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in
all your dwellings.
The Sabbath is a "holy
convocation"
î÷øà miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred
assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the
act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal
÷ãùÑ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated,
hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness,
apartness, sacredness, holiness
No buying or selling – Read Neh. 13 to the end
Neh.13
[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What
evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath
day?

Today’s Topic:
Part 2 - Messianic Prophecies of Messiah Yeshua
Over 300
We will explore a little more today
The credentials of the Messiah
Messiah's testimony
How Messiah was very aware of fulfilling
scripture
Messiah's testimony in the Gospels bare witness that He fulfilled all
the TaNaKh prophecies pertaining Himself
This is an amazing miracle in itself. There is no
parallel in the literature of the world.
Yeshus said:
John 5 [39] Search the scriptures; (TaNaKh)
for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they
are they which testify of me.
John.8 [56] Your father Abraham
rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
[57] Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old,
and hast thou seen Abraham?
[58] Yeshua said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
John 5 [46] For had ye believed Moses, ye
would have believed me: for he wrote of me. (in TaNaKh)
Luke.4
[15] And Yeshua taught in their synagogues,
being glorified of all.
[16] And Yeshua came to Nazareth, where he
had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went
into the synagogue on the sabbath
day, and stood up for to read. (like us today)
[17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place
where it was written,
Isa. 61
[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to
preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty them that are bruised,
[19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
[20] And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and
sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on
him.
[21] And he began to say unto them, This day is this
scripture fulfilled in your ears.
----------------
The woman of Samaria was clearly a devout readers of TaNaKh, she knew all about Messiah - as were the Apostles
and Disciples
John.4
[25] The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh,
which is called Messiah: when he is come, he will tell us all things.[26] Yeshua saith
unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
[27] And upon this came
his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the
woman: yet no man said, What seekest
thou? or, Why talkest thou
with her?
[28] The woman then left her waterpot, and went her
way into the city, and saith to the men,
[29] Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Messiah?
Matt.16
[13] When Yeshua came into the coasts of
Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom
do men say that I the Son of man am?
[14] And they said, Some say that thou art
John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias,
or one of the prophets.
[15] He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
[16] And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God.
[17] And Yeshua answered and said unto him,
Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is
in heaven.
Yeshua, by taking the title "Son of God", Yeshua
identified Himself with that Messianic title used in the second Psalm.
Pss.2 [7] I will declare the decree: Yehovah hath
said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I
begotten thee.
Almost everything Messiah said or did had some
connection with the TaNakh prophecies.
---------------
Some of Messiah's miracles were in fulfillment in
TaNakh's predictions in Isa. 35
Isa.35
[1] The wilderness and the solitary place shall
be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
[2] It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even
with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon,
they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency
of our God.
[3] Strengthen ye the
weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
[4] Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with
vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come
and save you.
[5] Then the eyes of the blind shall
be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
[6] Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the
wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
[7] And the parched ground shall become a pool,
and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each
lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
[8] And an highway shall be there, and a way, and
it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but
it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
[9] No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon,
it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
[10] And the ransomed of the LORD shall return,
and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall
obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Messiah's ministry was in accord
with what Isaiah had predicted concerning Him (Isa. 42:1-4, Isa. 61:1-3)
Isa.42
[1] Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect,
in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon
him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
[2] He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his
voice to be heard in the street.
[3] A bruised reed shall he not break, and the
smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
[4] He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he
have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall
wait for his law.
Isa.61
[1] The Spirit of the Lord Yehovah
is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the
meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
[2] To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
[3] To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to
give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of
praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of
righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
And then,
Matt. 12:
[17] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken
by Esaias the prophet, saying,
[18] Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my
beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he
shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
[19] He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall
any man hear his voice in the streets.
[20] A bruised reed shall he not break, and
smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
[21] And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
------------
Messiah’s sufferings and death at
Jerusalem were all in accordance with what had been foretold in Psa. 22 and
Isa. 53.
-----------
When speaking of John the Baptist, Messiah called
attention to the fact that John was His forerunner, even as they was predicted
in Isaiah 40:3 and Malachi 3:1.
Isa.40
[3] The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD,
make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
[4] Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made
low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
[5] And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it
together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Also Messiah had to come before the
2nd Temple was destroyed
Mal.3
[1] Behold, I will
send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom
ye seek, shall suddenly come to this temple,
even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
Matt.11
[10] For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I
send my messenger before thy face, which shall
prepare thy way before thee.
Mark.1
[2] As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send
my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy
way before thee.
Luke.7
[27] This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send
my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy
way before thee.
-------------------
Always fulfilling scripture
As Yeshua drew
near to the end, He said to His disciples:
Luke.18[31] Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them,
Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that
are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
And again,
Luke.22
[37] For I say unto you, that this that is written
must yet be accomplished in me, And he was
reckoned among the transgressors: Isa.53:9 - for the things concerning me have
an end.
[46]
Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
[47] And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of
the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from
the chief priests and elders of the people.
[48] Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
[49] And forthwith he came to Yeshua, and
said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
[50] And Yeshua said unto him, Friend,
wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Yeshua,
and took him.
[51] And, behold, one of them which were with Yeshua
stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high
priest's, and smote off his ear.
[52]
Then said Yeshua unto him, Put up again thy sword
into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
[53] Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to
my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
[54] But how then shall the scriptures be
fulfilled, that thus it must be?
[55]
In that same hour said Yeshua to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves
for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no
hold on me.
[56] But all this was done, that the scriptures of
the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
Mark.14
[27] And Yeshua saith unto
them, All ye shall be offended because of me this
night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be
scattered.
Zech.13
[7] Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow,
saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the
sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
---------------------
After His resurrection, He spoke to
two of His disciples by the village called Emmaus.
[13]
And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which
was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
[14] And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
[15] And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and
reasoned, Yeshua himself drew near, and went with
them.
[16] But their eyes were holden that they
should not know him.
[17] And he said unto them, What manner of
communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
[18] And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas,
answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not
known the things which are come to pass therein these days?
[19] And he said unto them, What things? And
they said unto him, Concerning Yeshua of Nazareth,
which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
[20] And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be
condemned to death, and have crucified him.
[21] But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed
Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day
since these things were done.
[22] Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished,
which were early at the sepulchre;
[23] And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had
also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
[24] And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but
him they saw not.
[25] Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to
believe all that the prophets have spoken:
[26] Ought not Messiah to have suffered these things, and to enter into his
glory?
[27] And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all
the scriptures the things concerning himself.
[28]
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though
he would have gone further.
[29] But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward
evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
[30] And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread,
and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
[31] And their eyes were opened, and they knew
him; and he vanished out of their sight.
[32]
And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn
within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while
he opened to us the scriptures? TaNaKh
[33]
And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven
gathered together, and them that were with them,
[34] Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
[35] And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was
known of them in breaking of bread.
[36] And as they thus spake, Yeshua himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
[37] But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had
seen a spirit.
[38] And he said unto them, Why are ye
troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
[39] Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and
see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
[40] And when he had thus spoken, he shewed
them his hands and his feet.
[41] And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto
them, Have ye here any meat?
[42] And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
[43] And he took it, and did eat before them.
[44] And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things
must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets,
and in the psalms, concerning me.
[45] Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the
scriptures,
TaNaKh
[46]
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and
thus it behoved Messiah to suffer, and to rise from
the dead the third day:
[47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name
among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Pss.40
[6] Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened:
burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. [7] Then said I, Lo, I
come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
[8] I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
Heb.10
[1]
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of
the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year
continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because
that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every
year.
[4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take
away sins.
[5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body
hast thou prepared me:
[6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
[7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to
do thy will, O God.
[8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering
for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
[9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh
away the first, that he may establish the second.
[10] By the which will we are sanctified through the
offering of the body of Yeshua Messiah once for all.
Back to Luke 24
[48]
And ye are witnesses of these things.
[49] And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye
in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
[50] And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his
hands, and blessed them.
[51] And it came to pass, while he blessed them,
he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
[52] And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
[53] And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God.
Amen.
John.10…the
scripture cannot be broken
------------
Credentials are testimonials, evidence, written
proofs, such as letters of commendation or legal documents, proving the
bearer’s right to office or position.
Yeshua fulfilled them all!
He is the Messiah
------------------------------------------------
Always remember a few important points to prove the real
Messiah:
Point 1 – The Messiah must
come before the tribe of Judah lost its tribal identity
Gen.49[10] The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor
a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the
gathering of the people be.
Point 2 - The Messiah had
to come while the second temple was still standing
Hag.2
[7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and
I will fill this house with glory, saith Yehovah of hosts. [8] The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith Yehovah of hosts.
[9] The glory of this latter house shall be greater
than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts:
and in this place will I give peace, saith Yehovah of hosts.
Mal.3
[1] Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me:
and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to
this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in:
behold, he shall come, saith Yehovah
of hosts.
Pss.118
[22]
The stone which the builders refused is become the
head stone of the corner.
[23] This is Yehovah's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
[24] This is the day which Yehovah hath made; we will
rejoice and be glad in it.
[25] Save now, I beseech thee Yehovah, Yehovah, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
[26] Blessed be HE (Messiah) that cometh in the name of Yehovah:
we have blessed you out of the house of Yehovah.
[12] And I said unto them, If
ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my
price thirty pieces of silver.
[13] And Yehovah said unto me, Cast it unto the
potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them.
And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of Yehovah. (the second Temple)
[25] Know therefore and understand, that from
the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and
threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even
in troublous times.
[26] And after threescore and two weeks shall
Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that
shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall
be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Messiah had to come
483 years after a specific date in Daniel’s time. We will explore next week,
Lord willing.
So any Messiah coming now in 2012 or in
the future, could not fulfill these verses above.
Two reasons
are that Judah’s tribal identity and the Temple were both destroyed in 70 A.D.
The real Messiah
had to come almost 2,000 years ago, before God had the temple destroyed in 70 A.D.
by the Roman general, Titus and He did!
