Deut.4
[1] Now therefore hearken, O
Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do
them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which Yehovah God of your fathers giveth
you.
[2] Ye shall not add unto
the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye
may keep the commandments of Yehovah your
God which I command you.

[3] Your eyes have seen what Yehovah did because of Baal-peor:
for all the men that followed Baal-peor, Yehovah thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
[4] But ye that did cleave unto Yehovah your God are alive every one of you this day.
[5] Behold, I have taught you
statutes and judgments, even as Yehovah my God
commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither
ye go to possess it.
[6] Keep therefore and do them;
for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations,
which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely
this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
[7] For what nation is there so
great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as Yehovah our
God is in all things that we call upon him for?
[8] And what nation is there so
great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous
as all this law, which I set before you this day?
[9] Only take heed to thyself,
and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart
all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;[10]
Specially the day that thou stoodest before Yehovah thy God in Horeb, when Yehovah said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I
will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that
they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
[11] And ye came near and stood
under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven,
with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.
[12] And Yehovah
spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard
the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.
[13] And he declared unto you
his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten
commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
[14] And Yehovah commanded me at that time to
teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the land whither ye
go over to possess it.
[15] Take ye therefore good heed
unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that Yehovah spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:[16] Lest ye
corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure,
the likeness of male or female,
[17] The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any
winged fowl that flieth in the air,[18] The
likeness of any thing that creepeth
on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the
earth:[19] And lest thou lift up thine eyes
unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the
moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest
be driven to worship them, and serve them, which Yehovah
thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
[20] But Yehovah
hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of
Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
[21] Furthermore Yehovah was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should
not go in unto that good land, which Yehovah thy God giveth thee for an inheritance:[22]
But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over,
and possess that good land.
[23] Take heed unto yourselves,
lest ye forget the covenant of Yehovah your God,
which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which Yehovah thy God
hath forbidden thee.
[24] For Yehovah
thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
[25] When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall
have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven
image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do
evil in the sight of Yehovah thy God, to provoke him
to anger:[26] I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day,
that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan
to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be
destroyed.
[27] And Yehovah
shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among
the heathen, whither Yehovah shall lead you.
[28] And there ye shall serve
gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor
eat, nor smell.
[29] But if from thence
thou shalt seek Yehovah thy
God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all
thy heart and with all thy soul.
[30] When thou art in
tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days,
if thou turn to Yehovah thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;
[31] (For Yehovah thy God is a merciful God;)
he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy
fathers which he sware unto them.
[32] For ask now of the days
that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon
the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there
hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
[33] Did ever people hear the
voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and
live?
[34] Or hath God assayed to go
and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by
signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out
arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yehovah
your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
[35] Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know
that Yehovah he is God; there is none else beside
him.
[36] Out of heaven he made thee
to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest
his words out of the midst of the fire.
[37] And because he loved thy
fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his
sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;[38]
To drive out nations from before thee greater and
mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an
inheritance, as it is this day.
[39] Know therefore this day,
and consider it in thine heart, that Yehovah he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth
beneath: there is none else.[40] Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments,
which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy
children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy
days upon the earth, which Yehovah thy God giveth thee, for ever.

1Chr.16
[1] So they brought the ark of
God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they
offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.
[2] And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and
the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of Yehovah.
[3] And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a
flagon of wine.
[4] And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark
of Yehovah, and to record, and to thank and praise Yehovah God of Israel:
[5] Asaph the chief, and next to him
Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth,
and Jehiel, and Mattithiah,
and Eliab, and Benaiah, and
Obed-edom: and Jeiel with
psalteries and with harps; but Asaph made a sound
with cymbals;
[6] Benaiah also and Jahaziel
the priests with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God.
[7] Then on that day David delivered first this
psalm (105 below) to thank Yehovah into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
[8] Give thanks unto Yehovah, call upon his
name, make known his deeds among the people.
[9] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye
of all his wondrous works.
[10] Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of
them rejoice that seek Yehovah.
[11] Seek Yehovah and his strength, seek his face
continually.
[12] Remember his marvellous works that he
hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
[13] O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen
ones.
[14] He is Yehovah our God; his judgments are
in all the earth.
[15] Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded
to a thousand generations;
[16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath
unto Isaac;
[17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for
an everlasting covenant,
[18] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your
inheritance;
[19] When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
[20] And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to
another people;
[21] He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for
their sakes,
[22] Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
[23] Sing unto Yehovah, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
[24] Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
[25] For great is Yehovah, and greatly to be
praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
[26] For all the gods of the people are idols: but Yehovah
made the heavens.
[27] Glory and honour are in his presence;
strength and gladness are in his place.
[28] Give unto Yehovah, ye kindreds
of the people, give unto Yehovah
glory and strength.
[29] Give unto Yehovah the glory due unto his
name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship Yehovah
in the beauty of holiness.
[30] Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable,
that it be not moved.
[31] Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say
among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
[32] Let the sea roar, and the fulness
thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
[33] Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of Yehovah, because he cometh to judge the earth.
[34] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is
good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
[35] And say ye, Save
us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the
heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
[36] Blessed be Yehovah God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and
praised Yehovah.
Pss.105
[1] O give thanks unto Yehovah; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the
people.
[2] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous
works.
[3] Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Yehovah.
[4] Seek Yehovah, and
his strength: seek his face evermore.
[5] Remember his marvellous works that he hath done;
his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
[6] O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
[7] He is Yehovah our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
[8] He hath remembered his covenant for ever,
the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
[9] Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
[10] And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an
everlasting covenant:
[11] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your
inheritance:
[12] When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and
strangers in it.
[13] When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to
another people;
[14] He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for
their sakes;
[15] Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
[16] Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
[17] He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
[18] Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
[19] Until the time that his word came: the word of Yehovah
tried him.
[20] The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let
him go free.
[21] He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
[22] To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
[23] Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of
Ham.
[24] And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than
their enemies.
[25] He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
[26] He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
[27] They shewed his signs among them, and
wonders in the land of Ham.
[28] He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against
his word.
[29] He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
[30] Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of
their kings.
[31] He spake, and there came divers sorts of
flies, and lice in all their coasts.
[32] He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
[33] He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and
brake the trees of their coasts.
[34] He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
[35] And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit
of their ground.
[36] He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all
their strength.
[37] He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not
one feeble person among their tribes.
[38] Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon
them.
[39] He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the
night.
[40] The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with
the bread of heaven.
[41] He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry
places like a river.
[42] For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
[43] And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with
gladness:
[44] And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
[45] That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye Yehovah.
1Chr.22
[1] Then David said, This is the house of Yehovah God,
and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
[2] And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in
the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house
of God.
[3] And David prepared iron in abundance for the nails for the doors of
the gates, and for the joinings; and brass in
abundance without weight;
[4] Also cedar trees in abundance: for the Zidonians
and they of Tyre brought much cedar wood to David.
[5] And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house
that is to be builded for Yehovah
must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory
throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So
David prepared abundantly before his death.
[6] Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for Yehovah God of
Israel.
[7] And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to
build an house unto the name of Yehovah my God:
[8] But the word of Yehovah came to me,
saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast
shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
[9] Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and
I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be
Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
[10] He shall build an house for my name; and
he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish throne of
his kingdom over Israel for ever.
[11] Now, my son, Yehovah be
with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of Yehovah
thy God, as he hath said of thee.
[12] Only Yehovah give thee
wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge
concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of Yehovah thy God.
[13] Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the
statutes and judgments which Yehovah charged Moses
with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be
dismayed.
[14] Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of Yehovah an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand
thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron
without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared;
and thou mayest add thereto.
[15] Moreover there are workmen with thee in abundance, hewers and workers
of stone and timber, and all manner of cunning men for every manner of work.
[16] Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no
number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and Yehovah be
with thee.
[17] David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his
son, saying,
[18] Is not Yehovah your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants
of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before Yehovah,
and before his people.
[19] Now set your heart
and your soul to seek Yehovah your God; arise
therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of Yehovah God,
to bring the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, and the
holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Yehovah.
2Chr.11 [16] And after them out of all the tribes of
Israel such as set their hearts to seek Yehovah
God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto Yehovah
God of their fathers.
2Chr.12[14] And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to
seek Yehovah.
2Chr.14[4] And commanded Judah to seek Yehovah
God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.
2Chr.15 [1] And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
[2] And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa,
and all Judah and Benjamin;
Yehovah is with you,
while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
[12] And they entered into a
covenant to seek Yehovah God of their fathers with
all their heart and with all their soul;
[13] That whosoever
would not seek Yehovah God of Israel should be put to
death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
-------------------
2Chr.20[3] And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to
seek Yehovah, and proclaimed a fast throughout
all Judah.[4] And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of Yehovah: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to
seek Yehovah.
Ezra.6[21] And the children of Israel, which were come
again out of captivity, and all such as had separated themselves unto them from
the filthiness of the heathen of the land, to seek Yehovah
God of Israel, did eat,
Pss.34[10] The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they
that seek Yehovah shall not want any good
thing.
[14] Depart from evil, and do good; seek
peace, and pursue it.
Prov.28[5] Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek
Yehovah understand all things.
Isa.9[13] For the people turneth not
unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek Yehovah of hosts.
Isa.31[1] Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help;
and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in
horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of
Israel, neither seek Yehovah!
Isa.51[1] Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye
that seek Yehovah: look unto the rock whence
ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.
Jer.50[4] In those days, and in that time, saith
Yehovah, the children of Israel shall come, they and
the children of Judah together, going and weeping: they shall go, and seek Yehovah their God.
Hos.3[5] Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and
seek Yehovah their God, and David their king; and
shall fear Yehovah and his goodness in the latter
days.
Hos.5[6] They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to
seek Yehovah; but they shall not find him; he
hath withdrawn himself from them.
Hos.10[12] Sow to yourselves in righteousness,
reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it
is time to seek Yehovah, till he come and rain
righteousness upon you.
Amos.5[6] Seek Yehovah,
and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of
Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.
Zech.8[21] And the inhabitants of one city shall go to
another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before Yehovah,
and to seek Yehovah of hosts: I will go also.[22]
Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek Yehovah
of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before Yehovah.
Acts.17 [24] God that made the world and all
things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth
not in temples made with hands;
[25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to
all life, and breath, and all things;
[26] And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all
the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the
bounds of their habitation;
[27] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him,
and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
[28] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also
of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
[29] Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to
think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art
and man's device.
[30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to
repent:
[31] Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the
world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given
assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Prov.8 [17] I love them that love me; and those that seek me
early shall find me.
Jer.29 [13] And ye shall seek me, and
find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Matt.7 [7] Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you:[8] For every one
that asketh receiveth; and
he that seeketh
findeth; and to him that knocketh
it shall be opened.
[9] Or what man is there of you,
whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
[10] Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?[11] If ye
then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good
things to them that ask him?
Pss.27
[1] Yehovah
is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Yehovah
is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
[2] When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat
up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
[3] Though an host should encamp against me, my
heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be
confident.
[4] One thing have I desired of Yehovah, that
will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of Yehovah
all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Yehovah,
and to inquire in his temple.
[5] For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the
secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
[6] And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about
me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing,
yea, I will sing praises unto Yehovah.
[7] Hear, Yehovah O Yehovah,
when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
[8] When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my
heart said unto thee, Thy face, Yehovah, will I seek.
[9] Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger:
thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake
me, O God of my salvation.
[10] When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yehovah
will take me up.
[11] Teach me thy way, O Yehovah, and lead me
in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
[12] Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false
witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
[13] I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Yehovah in the land of the living.
[14] Wait on Yehovah: be of good courage, and
he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on Yehovah
The hand of
our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is
against all them that forsake him.
I, God will seek to
destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Isaiah 42: [18] Hear, ye
deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may
see.
19 Who is blind, but my servant? or
deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he
that is perfect, and blind as Yehovah'S servant?
(Isa. 42:19 KJV)
Our translation
Who is blind, if you’re my servant or deaf (if you are
like) my messenger that I sent? (You can’t be deaf)
who is blind as perfect or perfected (not blind)
and blind being as the Yehovah’s servant? Another
words, you can’t be blind or deaf being Yehovah’s
servant, keeping His laws and seeking Him!
However…
[20] Seeing many things, but thou observest
not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
[21] Yehovah is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will
magnify the law, and make it honourable.
[22] But this is a people robbed and spoiled;
they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they
are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and
none saith, Restore.
[23] Who among you will
give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the
time to come?
[24] Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did
not Yehovah, He against
whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in His ways, neither were they obedient
unto His law.
[25] Therefore He hath poured upon him the fury of
his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about,
They were so deaf and
blind that:
yet he (Jacob - Israel knew
not; and it burned him, yet Jacob - Israel
laid it not to heart.
Isa.43
[1] But now thus saith Yehovah that created thee,
O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee,
I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
[2] When
thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee;
and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt
not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
[3] For I am Yehovah thy God, the Holy One of
Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom,
Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
[4] Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou
hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
[5] Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east,
and gather thee from the west;
[6] I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back:
bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
[7] Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for
my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
[8] Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have
ears.
[9] Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled:
who among them can declare this, and shew us former
things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that
they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
[10] Ye are my witnesses, saith
Yehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye
may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no
God formed, neither shall there be after me.
[11] I, even I, am Yehovah;
and beside me there is no saviour.
[12] I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed,
when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Yehovah, that I am God.
[13] Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver
out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?
[14] Thus saith Yehovah,
your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I
have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the
Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.
[15] I am Yehovah, your Holy One, the creator
of Israel, your King.
[16] Thus saith Yehovah,
which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the
mighty waters;
[17] Which bringeth forth the chariot and
horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not
rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
[18] Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of
old.
[19] Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye
not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the
desert.
[20] The beast of the field shall honour me,
the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers
in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
[21] This
people have I formed for myself; they shall shew
forth my praise.
[22]
But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O
Israel.
[23]
Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast
thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not
caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense.
[24] Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou
filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with
thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
[25] I, even I, am he that blotteth
out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
[26]
Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
[27] Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed
against me.
[28] Therefore I have profaned the princes of
the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and
Israel to reproaches.
