Let’s pray
Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the
1500’s. Today is April 13, 2013 (the
fourth month)
Yehovah has His own calendar
The new moon was last night
We are now in the second month of God called Ziv
/ Zif, second day
ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers
***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism states, it is Ziv.

**Remember:
We were told to count the "Sabbaths" not omers
So we are counting
Today is the 2nd Sabbath out of the seven Sabbaths we were told to count.
Judaism,
some Messianics and some Protestant Messianics are counting the “omer”. They still cannot follow the scriptures correctly. They follow each other.
---------------
For your information:
An "omer"עמר is a "sheaf" of barley, a dry measure of
1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)
---------------------
Now let’s read scripture
Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto
you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye
brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be
complete:
[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
[21] And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

In a world full of chaos and unrest, I thought it appropriate and needful to
discuss the peace of God in this short study.
Today's topic:
Shalom שָׁלוֹם – Peace
Peace
offering – mentioned 83 time in TaNaK
Shalom, peace is an
attribute of the Messiah

Num.25 – “My covenant of
peace” was given him for destroying evil
[1] And Israel abode in Shittim,
and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
[2] And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and
the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
[3] And Israel joined himself unto Baal-peor: and the anger of
Yehovah was kindled against Israel.
[4] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and
hang them up before Yehovah against the sun, that the fierce anger of Yehovah
may be turned away from Israel.
[5] And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one
his men that were joined unto Baal-peor.
[6] And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his
brethren a Midianitish
woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children
of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the
congregation.
[7] And when Phinehas,
the son of Eleazar,
the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation,
and took a javelin in his hand;
[8] And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both
of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the
plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
[9] And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
[10] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[11] Phinehas,
the son of Eleazar,
the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of
Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the
children of Israel in my jealousy.
[12] Wherefore say,
Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace: בְּרִיתִי, שָׁלוֹם
[13] And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the
covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and
made an atonement
for the children of Israel.
[14]
Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish
woman, was Zimri,
the son of Salu,
a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
[15] And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi,
the daughter of Zur;
he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
[16] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[17] Vex the Midianites,
and smite them:
[18] For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you
in the matter of Peor,
and in the matter of Cozbi,
the daughter of a prince of Midian,
their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.

Deut.20[10] When thou comest
nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim
peace unto it.
[11] And it shall be, if it make thee
answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the
people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall
serve thee.
[12] And if it
will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then
thou shalt besiege it:
[13] And when Yehovah thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou
shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
[14] But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is
in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou
shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which Yehovah thy God hath given thee.
[15] Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from
thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.
[16] But of the cities of these people, which Yehovah thy God doth give
thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
[17] But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the
Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites;
as Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee:
[18] That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which
they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against Yehovah your God.
Same message as Deut. 20
- Matt.10 – the twelve disciples sent
[1] And when he had called
unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean
spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of
disease.
[2] Now the names of the
twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew
his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
[3] Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the
son of Alphaeus,
and Lebbaeus,
whose surname was Thaddaeus;
[4] Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.
[5] These twelve
Yeshua sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles,
and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
[6] But go rather to the lost
sheep of the house of Israel.
[7] And as ye go, preach,
saying, The
kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[8] Heal the sick, cleanse
the lepers, raise
the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
[9] Provide neither gold, nor
silver, nor brass in your purses,
[10] Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor
yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
[11] And into whatsoever city
or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go
thence.
[12] And when ye come into an house, salute it.
[13] And if the house be worthy, let your
peace come upon it: but if it be not
worthy, let your peace return to you.
[14] And whosoever
shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or
city, shake off the dust of your feet.
[15] Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of
Sodom and Gomorrha
in the day of judgment, than for that city.
[16] Behold, I send you forth
as sheep in the midst of wolves:
Be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
--------------
Same message as Deut. 20
- Luke.10 - other seventy disciples sent
[1]
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them
two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would
come.
[2] Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great,
but the labourers
are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers
into his harvest.
[3] Go your ways: behold, I send you forth
as lambs among wolves.
[4]
Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
[5] And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say,
Peace be to this house.
[6] And if the son of peace be there, your peace
shall rest upon it: if not,
it shall turn to you again.
[7] And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such
things as they give: for the labourer
is worthy of his hire. Go not
from house to house.
[8] And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you,
eat such things as are set before you:
[9] And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom
of God is come nigh unto you.
[10] But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you
not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,[11] Even
the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you:
notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto
you.
[12] But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for
Sodom, than for that city.

Pss.72 Messiah
[1] Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy
righteousness unto the king's son.
[2] He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with
judgment.
[3] The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills,
by righteousness.
[4] He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the
children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
[5] They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout
all generations.
[6] He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that
water the earth.
[7] In his days shall the righteous flourish;
and abundance of peace so
long as the moon endureth.
[8] He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto
the ends of the earth.
[9] They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his
enemies shall lick the dust.
[10] The kings of Tarshish
and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba
shall offer gifts.
[11] Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve
him.
[12] For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and
him that hath no helper.
[13] He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the
needy.
[14] He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious
shall their blood be in his sight.
[15] And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba:
prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
[16] There shall be an
handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof
shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the
earth.
[17] His name shall endure for ever: his name
shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all
nations shall call him blessed.
[18] Blessed be Yehovah God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
[19] And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth
be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
[20] The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended

Zech.6 - Messiah
[9] And the word of Yehovah came unto me,
saying,
[10] Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah,
and of Jedaiah,
which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house
of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
[11] Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the
head of Joshua the son of Josedech,
the high priest;
[12] And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh
Yehovah of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall
grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of Yehovah:
[13] Even he shall build the temple of Yehovah; and he shall bear the glory,
and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his
throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
[14] And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah,
and to Jedaiah,
and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Yehovah.
[15] And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of
Yehovah, and ye shall know that Yehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you. And
this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of Yehovah your
God.

Eph.4 - Saul
[1] I therefore, the prisoner
of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are
called,
[2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one
another in love;
[3] Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit
in the bond of peace.
[4] There is one body, and
one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
[5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism,[6] One God and Father of
all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
