Today we use the Gregorian
calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s
Today is February 4th, 2017
February -- month of Februa
Middle English Februarius
Latin Februarius "of Februa"
Latin Februa(s) "Februa"
+ -arius "ary (pertaining to)"
Latin Februarius mensis
"month of Februa"
Latin dies februatus "day of purification"
Februarius had 28 days, until circa 450 BC when it had 23
or 24 days on some of every second year, until Julius when it had 29 days on
every fourth year and 28 days otherwise.
Februa is the Roman festival of purification held on February fifteenth.
It is
possibly of Sabine origin.
Sabine were an Italic tribe
which lived in the central Apennines of ancient Italy, also inhabiting Latium
north of the Anio before the founding of Rome. The
above names, English, Latin, and Greek, are all exonyms.
The Sabines
divided into two populations just after the founding of Rome, which is
described by Roman legend. The division, however it came about, is not
legendary. The population closer to Rome transplanted itself to the new city
and united with the pre-existing citizenry, beginning a new heritage that
descended from the Sabines but was also Latinized.
The second population remained a mountain tribal state, coming finally to war
against Rome for its independence along with all the other Italic tribes. After
losing, it became assimilated into the Roman Republic.

Today’s Topic:
Some titles given to Messiah
Yeshua
The Word of God, the Son, the Son of man, King
of Kings, the All Mighty, the First and the Last, the Messiah = Yeshua
Isaiah says it best:
---------
Gen.1 [1] In
the beginning God, אֱלֹהִים Elohim created the heaven and the
earth.
--------------------------
John.5[25] Verily, verily, I say unto you, The
hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the
voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
דְבַר-יְהוָה
First time stated like this – the word of the Yehovah came saying…
John 1 [1] In the
beginning was “the Word”, the Son, and the Word, the Son was with God, and the
Word, the Son was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was
not any thing made that was
made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the
darkness comprehended it not.
[6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
[7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness
of that Light.
[9] That was the true Light, which lighteth
every man that cometh into the world.
[10] He, the Word, the Son
was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew Him the
Word, the Son not.[11] He, the Word, the Son came unto
his own, and his own received him not.
[12] But as many as received Him,
the Word, the Son to them gave He, the power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on His, the Word, the Son’s
name:
[13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of
the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[14] And the Word ,
the Son was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His the Word, the
Son’s glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth.

Rev.2 [18] And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write;
These things saith the Son
of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are
like fine brass;
Col.1
[1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother,
[2] To the saints and faithful brethren in Messiah which are at Colosse:
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
[3] We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Yeshua
the Messiah, praying always for you,
[4] Since we heard of your faith in Messiah Yeshua, and
of the love which ye have to all the saints,
[5] For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in
the word of the truth of the gospel;
[6] Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth
forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the
grace of God in truth:
[7] As ye also learned of Epaphras our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Messiah;
[8] Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.
[9] For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for
you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in
all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
[10] That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in
every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
[11] Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all
patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
[12] Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of
the inheritance of the saints in light:
[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us
into the kingdom of his dear Son, the Word:
[14] In whom we have redemption through His, the Word,
the Son blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
[15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[16] For by Him, the Word, the Son were all things
created, that are in
heaven, and that are in earth,
visible and invisible, whether they be
thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, the Word, the Son,
and for Him, the Word, the Son:
[17] And He, the Word, the Son is before all things, and by him all things
consist.
[18] And He,
the Word, the Son is the head of the body, the
church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all
things he might have the preeminence.
[19] For it pleased the Father that in Him, the Word, should all fullness
dwell;
[20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile
all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or
things in heaven.
[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked
works, yet now hath he reconciled
[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in
his sight:
[23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away
from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to
every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
[24] Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind
of the afflictions of Messiah in my
flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
[25] Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which
is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
[26] Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but
now is made manifest to his saints:
[27] To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory:
[28] Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom;
that we may present every man perfect in Messiah Yeshua:
[29] Whereunto I also labour, striving according to
his working, which worketh in me mightily
