Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the
1500’s
Today is August 18, 2018 - in the 21 Century
August -- Augustus
Caesar's month
Latin Augustus
"Augustus"
Latin Augustus mensis
"month of Augustus"
Latin sextilis
mensis
"sixth month"
Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when
it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.
Augustus Caesar
clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the
process, he also renamed this month after himself.
We acknowledge Yehovah’s
calendar
We are now in
the 6th month of the God of Israel called Elul, day 6
Neh.6 [15] So the wall was finished in
the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul , אֱלוּל in fifty and two days

Today’s Topic
Watch out for covetousness, be content in
God
The 10th
Commandment
Exod. 20 [17] Thou shalt
not covet thy neighbour's
house,
thou shalt
not covet thy neighbour's
wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any
thing that is thy neighbour's.
Deut.5 [21] Neither
shaltthou desire thy neighbour's
wife, neither shalt
thou covet thy neighbour's
house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox,
or his ass, or any
thing that is thy neighbour's.
Our testimony
Col.4 [5] Walk in
wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. [6] Let
your speech be alway
with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every
man.
1Thes.4 [9] But
as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves
are taught of God to love one another.
[10] And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all
Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;
[11] And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with
your own hands, as we commanded you;
[12] That ye may walk
honestly toward them that are without, and that ye
may have lack of nothing.
1Tim.3 [7]
Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he
fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
Pss.119 [36]
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Prov.28 [16] The
prince that wanteth
understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong
his days.
Pss.10 [3] Forthe wicked boasteth
of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom Yehovah abhorreth.
Prov.21 [26] He coveteth
greedily all the day
long: but the righteous giveth
and spareth
not.
1Tim.3 [3] Not
given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a
brawler, not covetous;
Eph.5
[1]
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
[2] And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given
himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
[3]
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or
covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
[4]
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient:
but rather giving of thanks.
[5]
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an
idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Messiah and of God.
1Thes.2
[1]
For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in
vain:
[2] But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully
entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you
the gospel of God with much contention.
[3] For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in
guile:
[4] But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel,
even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
[5] For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is
witness:
[6] Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we
might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Messiah.
2Tim.3
[1]
This know
also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
[2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
[3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
[4] Traitors, heady, highminded,
lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
[5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such
turn away.
2Pet.2 [3] And
through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise
of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their
damnation slumbereth
not.
[14]
Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from
sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have
exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
1Tim.6
[1]
Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of
all honour,
that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
[2]
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because
they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and
beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
[3]
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words
of our Lord Yeshua
the Messiah, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
[4] He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes
of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
[5] Perverse disputings
of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is
godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
[6] But
godliness with contentment is great gain.
[7] For we
brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
[8] And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
[9] But they
that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and
hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
[10] For the love
of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have
erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
[11] But
thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
[12] Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou
art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
[13] I give thee
charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Messiah Yeshua,
who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
[14] That
thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the
appearing of our Lord Yeshua
the Messiah:
[15] Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
[16] Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach
unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power
everlasting. Amen.
[17] Charge them
that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in
uncertain riches,
[18]
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute,
willing to communicate;[19] Laying up in store for themselves a
good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal
life.
[20] O
Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding
profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:[21]
Which some professing have erred concerning the faith.
Heb.13
[1]
Let brotherly love continue. (and sisters)
[2] Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have
entertained angels unawares.
[3] Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which
suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in
the body.
[4] Marriage is honourable
in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
[5] Let your conversation be
without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath
said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
[6] So that
we may boldly say, Yehovah
is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
**[7]
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the
word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
[8] Yeshua
the Messiah the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
[9] Be not
carried about with divers and strange doctrines.
[10] We
have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
[12] Wherefore Yeshua
also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without
the gate.
[13]
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
[14]
For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
[15] By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually,
that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
[16] But to
do good
and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
**[17]
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they
watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with
joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
[18] Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things
willing to live honestly.
[19]
But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the
sooner.
[20]
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that
great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
[21] Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you
that which is wellpleasing
in his sight, through Yeshua
the Messiah; to whom be glory for
ever and ever. Amen.
[22]
And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written
a letter unto you in few words.
[23] Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at
liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
[24] Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints.
They of Italy salute you.
[25]
Grace be
with you all. Amen.
3 John.1
[1]
The elder unto the wellbeloved
Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
[2] Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy
soul prospereth.
[3] For
I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is
in thee, even as thou walkest
in the truth.
[4] I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
[5] Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to
strangers;
[6]
Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring
forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
[7]
Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking
nothing of the Gentiles.
[8]
We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.
[9] I
wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth
to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
[10] Wherefore, if I come, I
will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious
words: and not content therewith, neither doth
he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth
them out of the church.
[11] Beloved, follow not
that which is evil, but that which is good.
[12]
Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we
also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
[13]
I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
[14] But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to
face.
Peace be
to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

Shabbat Shalom
Before we go:
I came
across this article in the news the other day, and it just stopped me in my
tracts L
I have to
read this to you
August 16,
2018
Mind
blown: Oldest galaxies in the universe found
This article
actually starts this way:
A
long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....
I
guess next is the fairytale:
But
this isn't science fiction: Astronomers down here on Earth identified
some of the oldest galaxies in the universe, a new study says. At 13 billion
years old, the galaxies began to form "only" about 100 million years
after the Big Bang.
This
isn't science fiction? Wow, and Mary had a little lamb…
This
is science?
Let’s
examine the first sentence above:
The
oldest galaxies - Have we studied all the billions of galaxies? No. Then how
do you know the ones you just studied are the oldest galaxies in the universe? You just told
a lie.
Then
it goes on to say: At 13 billion years old, the galaxies
began to form "only" about 100 million years after the Big Bang.
13
billion years old - another lie
The
galaxies began to form "only about” 100 million
years after the Big Bang
“only
About” 100 million years after the Big Bang – All lies!
Anyone
ever saw a galaxies form? No - another lie
The Big Bang?-another lie.
How can you
prove any of this made of false science? You can’t.
Let’s move
on:
The
galaxies
are actually nearby, in orbit around our own Milky Way galaxy.
Around our own Milky Way galaxy? - Do we even
know how large or ever been around our Milky Way galaxy? No - another lie
This
is a study? No!
Let’s move
on:
Study co-author
Carlos Frenk
of Durham University said, "Finding some of the very first
galaxies that formed in our universe orbiting in the Milky Way's own backyard is the
astronomical equivalent of finding the remains of the first humans that
inhabited the Earth. It is “hugely exciting."
I
think it is “hugely boring”.
The very first galaxies that formed? How do you prove
or know that? How can you prove with galaxies are first?
You can’t - Another lie
or was it all formed at
the same time? Now that is scriptural
Let’s move
on:
Here's
how it all went down: (that’s what they say)
When
the universe was about 380,000 years old, the first hydrogen atoms formed.
Who
saw that, how
do you prove that?
the first
hydrogen atoms formed? Another lie
Let’s move
on:
These
atoms collected into clouds and began to gradually cool and settle into small
clumps of dark matter, the study says.
The study?
Who
saw that, how do you prove that? You cannot!
This
cooling phase, known as the "cosmic dark ages,"
lasted about 100 million years.
Who
saw that, how do you prove that? You cannot!
Eventually,
the gas that had cooled inside the clouds began to form stars, and these
objects became the first galaxies ever to have formed.
Gas
formed stars, then became galaxies? This is a good script for the New Star
trek show.
Who
saw that, how do you prove that? You cannot!
Let’s move
on:
Researchers?
Researchers said
their discovery aligned perfectly with a model of galaxy formation that
they had developed.
The
fairytale continues…
"A
decade ago, the faintest galaxies in the vicinity of the Milky Way would have
gone under the radar," said study lead author Sownak
Bose
The
study was published Thursday, 2018 in the Astrophysical Journal.
The study? Oh well… J
