Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from the 1500’s
Today is January 19, 2013
January -- Janus's month
Middle English Januarie
Latin Januarius "of
Janus"
Latin Janu(s) "Janus" + -arius "ary (pertaining
to)"
Latin Januarius mensis "month of Janus"
Janus is the Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions. His festival month is January.
Januarius had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Now, God’s truth
Yehovah has His own calendar
We are now in the eleventh month, which is the month Sh’vat, 6th day
Zech.1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of Yehovah unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying…

Today’s topic – Truth
What is truth?
[36] Yeshua
answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if
my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not
be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not
from hence.
[37] Pilate
therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then?
Yeshua answered, Thou sayest that I am a
king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that
I should bear witness unto the truth.
Every one that is of the truth hears
my voice.
[38] Pilate saith unto him,
What is truth?

Let’s read some TRUE stories
---------------------
[1] And Elijah
the Tishbite,
who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Yehovah God of Israel
liveth, before whom I stand, there shall
not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
[2] And the word of Yehovah came unto him, saying,
[3] Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the
brook Cherith,
that is before Jordan.
[4] And it shall be, that thou shalt
drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
[5] So he went and did according unto the word of Yehovah: for he went
and dwelt by the brook Cherith,
that is before Jordan.
[6] And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread
and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.
[7] And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because
there had been no rain in the land.
[8] And the word of Yehovah came unto him, saying,
[9] Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth
to Zidon,
and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
[10] So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when
he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of
sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray
thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
[11] And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring
me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
[12] And she said, As Yehovah thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an
handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse:
and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me
and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
[13] And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said:
but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me,
and after make for thee and for thy son.
[14] For thus saith Yehovah God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not
waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail,
until the day that Yehovah sendeth rain upon
the earth.
[15] And she went and did according to the saying
of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
[16] And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse
of oil fail, according to the word of Yehovah, which he spake by Elijah.
[17] And it came to pass after these things, that
the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness
was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
[18] And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man
of God? art
thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
[19] And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her
bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his
own bed.
[20] And he cried unto Yehovah, and said, Yehovah my God, hast thou also
brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?
[21] And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto
Yehovah, and said, Yehovah my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into
him again.
[22] And Yehovah heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child
came into him again, and he revived.
[23] And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber
into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy
son liveth.
[24] And the woman said to Elijah, Now
by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of Yehovah in thy
mouth is truth.
-------------------
[1] These words
spake Yeshua, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is
come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
[2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give
eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
[3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Yeshua Messiah, whom thou hast
sent.
[4] I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which
thou gavest
me to do.
[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the
glory which I had with thee before the world was.
[6] I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest
me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest
them me; and they have kept thy word.
[7] Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me
are of thee.
[8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest
me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from
thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
[9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou
hast given me; for they are thine.
[10] And all mine are thine, and thine are
mine; and I am glorified in them.
[11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and
I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast
given me,
that they may be one, as we are.
[12] While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those
that thou gavest
me I have kept,
and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be
fulfilled.
[13] And now come I to thee; and these things I
speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
[14] I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because
they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that
thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
[16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[17] Sanctify
them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
[18] As thou hast
sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
[19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be
sanctified through the truth.
[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall
believe on me through their word;
[21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee,
that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent
me.
[22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have
given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
[23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;
and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as
thou hast loved me.
[24] Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me
where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst
me before the foundation of the world.
[25] O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known
thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
[26] And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the
love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
----------------
[1] My little
children, these things write I unto you, that ye
sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Yeshua the
Messiah the righteous:
[2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but
also for the sins of the whole world.
[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4] He that
saith, I know him, and keepeth not his
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
[5] But whoso
keepeth
his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we
are in him.
[6]
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to
walk, even as he walked.
[7] Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old
commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word
which ye have heard from the beginning.
[8] Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is
past, and the true light now shineth.
[9] He that saith he is in the light, and hateth
his brother, is in darkness even until now.
[10] He that loveth his brother abideth
in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
[11] But he that hateth his brother
is in darkness, and walketh in darkness,
and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that
darkness hath blinded his eyes.
[12] I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven
you for his name's sake.
[13] I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from
the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked
one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
[14] I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is
from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong,
and the word of God abideth in you, and
ye have overcome the wicked one.
[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If
any man
love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
[16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust
of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
[17] And the world passeth away, and
the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth
for ever.
[18] Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that
antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know
that it is the last time.
[19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had
been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that
they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
[20] But ye have an unction from the
Holy One, and ye know all things.
[21] I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye
know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
[22] Who is a liar but he that denieth
that Yeshua is the Messiah? He is antichrist, that denieth
the Father and the Son.
[23] Whosoever denieth the Son, the
same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth
the Son hath the Father also.
[24] Let that
therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which
ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in
the Son, and in the Father.
[25] And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal
life.
[26] These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce
you.
[27] But the
anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and
ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of
all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye
shall abide in him.
[28] And now,
little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have
confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
[29] If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth
righteousness is born of him.
------------------------
[1] Whosoever
believeth that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loveth
him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
[2] By this
we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his
commandments.
[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
[4] For
whatsoever is born of God overcometh the
world: and this is the victory that overcometh the
world, even our faith.
[5] Who is he that overcometh the
world, but he that believeth that Yeshua is the Son of God?
[6] This is he that came
by water and blood, even Yeshua the Messiah; not by water only, but by water
and blood.
And it is the Spirit that beareth
witness, because the Spirit is truth.
[7] For there are
three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and
these three are one.
[8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the
water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
[9] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is
greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
[10] He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he
that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the
record that God gave of his Son.
[11] And this is the record, that God
hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God
hath not life.
[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of
the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God.
[14] And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any
thing according to his will, he heareth us:
[15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we
have the petitions that we desired of him.
[16] If any man see his brother sin a sin which is
not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not
unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
[17] All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.
[18] We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth
not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and
that wicked one toucheth him not.
[19] And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth
in wickedness.
[20] And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an
understanding, that we may know him that is true,
and we are in him that is true, even in
his Son Yeshua Messiah. This is the true God, and
eternal life.
[21] Little children, keep yourselves
from idols. Amen.
----------------
[14]
Afterward Yeshua findeth him in the temple, and said
unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come
unto thee.
[15] The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Yeshua, which had
made him whole.
[16] And therefore did the Jews persecute Yeshua, and sought to slay
him, because he had done these things on the sabbath
day.
[17] But Yeshua answered them, My Father worketh
hitherto, and I work.
[18] Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only
had broken the sabbath, but
said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
[19] Then answered Yeshua and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth
the Father do: for what things soever he doeth,
these also doeth the Son likewise.
[20] For the Father loveth the Son,
and sheweth
him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew
him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
[21] For as the Father raiseth
up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth
whom he will.
[22] For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
[23] That all men should honour
the Son, even as they honour the Father.
He that honoureth not the
Son honoureth
not the Father which hath sent him.
[24]
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
[25] Verily, verily, I say unto you, The
hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of
God: and they that hear shall live.
[26] For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son
to have life in himself;
[27] And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he
is the Son of man.
[28] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that
are in the graves shall hear his voice,
[29] And shall come forth; they that have done
good, unto the resurrection of life; and they
that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
[30]
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just;
because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent
me.
[31] If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
[32] There is another that beareth witness of
me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth
of me is true.
[33] Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto
the truth.
[34] But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I
say, that ye might be saved.
[35] He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a
season to rejoice in his light.
[36] But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which
the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do,
bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
[37] And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of
me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
[38] And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent,
him ye believe not.
[39] Search the scriptures; for in
them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
[40] And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
[41] I receive not honour from men.
[42] But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
[43] I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another
shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
[44] How can ye believe, which receive honour
one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh
from God only?
[45] Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one
that accuseth
you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
[46] For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote
of me.
[47] But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
--------------
The Spirit of truth
The spirit of error
[26] But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: [27] And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
[1]
Beloved, believe not every
spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many
false prophets are gone out into the world.
[2] Hereby know ye the Spirit of
God: Every spirit that confesseth that
Yeshua Messiah is come in the flesh is of God:
[3] And every spirit that confesseth not that
Yeshua Messiah is come in the flesh is not of God:
and this is that
spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already
is it in the world.
[4] Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is
he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
[5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world,
and the world heareth them.
[6] We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that
is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we
the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
