Shabbat Shalom
-------------------
All Welcome
-------------------------------
Let’s pray
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, sins, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, forever.
Amen

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from the 1500’s
Today is May 1, 2010
----
God has His own calendar
We are now in the 2nd month of God, Ziv / Zif – 16th day
1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to
pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were
come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over
Israel, in the month Zif,
which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.
æÄå - ziv - brightness, (figuratively)
the month of flowers
***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month
is not Iyyar as
Judaism states, it is Ziv.
--------------------
God's Spring Calendar for 2010, these are the days left
Remember: There is one extra Sabbath
left, besides the 7th day Sabbath each week
------------
This is the 4th Sabbath of the seven
Sabbaths we were told to count.
We are counting the "Sabbaths"
not omers
An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley -òîø omer - A dry
measure of 1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)
-------------
Lev.23 [15] And ye shall
count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath,
from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:
[16] Even
unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days;
and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
------------
3rd month of God, Sivan, and May 16th (starts sunset of May 15th)
------------
Feast of Weeks / Pentecost is coming
Feast of Weeks, 50 - Pentecost - May 23th, 1st day of the week (Sunday), (starts
sunset May 22th) 8th of Sivan, 50 days from First Fruits - a Sabbath
***This
would make it 2 Sabbaths in a row
------------
Paul observing Pentecost / Feast of Weeks
Acts 2 [1] And when the day of Pentecost / Feast
of Weeks was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 20 [16] For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he
would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if
it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost / Feast of Weeks.
1 Cor. 16 [8] But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost / Feast of Weeks.
------------------------------------
I explain the Sabbath, the 7th day, each week
This is how simple it is:
Exod. 20
[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep
it holy.
[9] Six days shalt
thou labour, and do all thy
work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah
thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy
manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah
made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh
day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
------------
Deut. 5
[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah
thy God hath commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour,
and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt
not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor
thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy
maidservant may rest as well as thou.
[15] And remember that thou wast
a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yehovah thy
God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yehovah thy God
commanded thee to keep the sabbath
day.
------------
Lev. 23
[3] Six days shall work be done:
but
the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;
ye shall do no work therein:
it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.
--------
Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath
a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,
1 - not doing thine own ways,
2 - nor
finding thine own pleasure,
3 - nor
speaking thine own words:
[14] Then shalt
thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will
cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the
heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.
------------------------
Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath
Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also
therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah,
and in Jerusalem.
[17] Then I
contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath
day?
------------------------
We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath
like they did in the Book of Acts
60 times in the Gospels
and letters it uses the word Sabbath!
--------------------
Let's see what Yeshua, Paul and
the Apostles did on the Sabbath:
Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos,
they came to Perga in Pamphylia:
and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. [14] But when
they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down. [15]
And after the reading of the law and the prophets the
rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye
men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
----
Acts 15 [21] For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him,
being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.
----
Luke 4 [16] And he, Yeshua
came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom (prescribed by God's law) was, he went into the
synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for
to read. [17] And there was delivered unto him
the book of the prophet Esaias.
----
Acts 13: [27] For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and
their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets
which are read every sabbath
day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
----
Acts 13 [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the
synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these
words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
[44] And the
next sabbath day came
almost the whole city together to hear the word
of God.
----
First day of the Feast of Unleavened
Bread
Luke. 23 [56] And they
returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested
the sabbath day according to the commandment.
----
"Sabbath in the future"
Yeshua said in Matt. 24 [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in
the winter, neither on the Sabbath day
-------
Isa. 66 - A
Sabbath, even after the new heavens and the new earth are created
[22] For as
the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall
remain before me, saith Yehovah,
so shall your seed and your name remain.
[23] And it
shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to
another, shall all (new body) flesh come to worship before me, saith Yehovah.
[24] And they shall go forth, and look
upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed
against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched;
and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

The words below are from Lamentations chapters 1 to 5
They can be applied exactly to our day
in 2010
-------------------
Consider... as
they were, so are we today - 2010
We are in
captivity
We dwell
among the heathen (nations)
None come
to the solemn feasts
The
Sabbaths are mocked
The
heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst
command that they should not enter into thy congregation.
All have
transgressed and rebelled against His commandment
He hath
violently taken away his tabernacle (His Presense is
gone)
The law
(Torah) is no more
Prophets
find no vision from Yehovah
The
prophets have seen vain and foolish things
For the
sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the
blood of the just in the midst of her
They (we)
have polluted themselves with blood
Depart
ye; it is unclean; depart, depart, touch not
Our
fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities
Woe unto
us that we have sinned!
Thou hast
utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.

Lam. 1
[3]
... captivity âÌÈìÀúÈä
and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen,
she findeth no rest:
[4] The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: îåÉòÅã
[5] Her
adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for Yehovah hath afflicted her for the multitude of her
transgressions:
her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.
[7] Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her
miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her
people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her:
the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.
H4868 îùÑáÌú
mishbâth - mish-bawth' - From H7673;
cessation - Sabbath
[10]
The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy
congregation.
[18]
Yehovah is righteous;
for I have rebelled
against his commandment:
hear,
I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins
and my young men are gone
into captivity.
Lam. 2
[6]
And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle
[7] Yehovah hath
cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the
hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they
have made a noise in the house of Yehovah, as in the day of a solemn feast. ëÌÀéåÉí îåÉòÅã
[9] Her gates are sunk into the ground; he
hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and
her princes are among the Gentiles:
the law (torah) is no more; àÅéï úÌåÉøÈä
her prophets also find no vision from Yehovah.
[14] Thy prophets have
seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen
for thee false burdens and causes of banishment.
Lam. 3
[22] It is of Yehovah's
mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
[23] They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
[24] Yehovah is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
[25] Yehovah is good unto them that wait for
him, to the soul that seeketh him.
[26] It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the
salvation of Yehovah.
[27]
It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his
youth.
[28] He sitteth alone and keepeth
silence, because he hath borne it upon him.
[29] He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so
be there may be hope.
[30] He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.
[31] For Yehovah will not cast off for ever:
[32]
But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the
multitude of his mercies.
[33] For he doth not afflict willingly nor
grieve the children of men.
[34] To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,
[35]
To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,
[36] To subvert a man in his cause, Yehovah approveth not.
[37] Who is he that saith, and it cometh to
pass, when Yehovah commandeth
it not?
[38] Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?
[39] Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his
sins?
[40] Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Yehovah.
[41]
Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.
[42] We have
transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.
[43]
Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not
pitied.
[44] Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that
our prayer should not pass through.
[45] Thou hast made us as the offscouring and
refuse in the midst of the people.
[46] All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.
[47] Fear and a snare is come upon us,
desolation and destruction.
[48] Mine eye runneth down with rivers of
water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.
[49] Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,
[50]
Till Yehovah look down, and behold from heaven.
[51] Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of
all the daughters of my city.
[52] Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.
[53] They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.
[54] Waters flowed over mine head; then I said, I am cut off.
[55] I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.
[56]
Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my
breathing, at my cry.
[57] Thou drewest near in the day that I called
upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.
[58] O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed
my life.
[59] O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.
[60] Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their imaginations
against me.
[61] Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, and all their imaginations
against me;
[62]
The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the
day.
[63] Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their musick.
[64]
Render unto them a recompence, O LORD, according to
the work of their hands.
[65] Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.
[66] Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of Yehovah.
Lam. 4
[12] The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants
of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should
have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.
[13] For the
sins of her prophets, and the iniquities of her priests, that have shed the
blood of the just in the midst of her,
[14] They have wandered as blind men in
the streets, they have
polluted themselves with blood, so that men could not touch their
garments.
[15] They cried unto them, Depart ye; it is unclean èÈîÅà; depart, depart, touch not:
when they fled away and wandered, they said among the heathen, They shall no more sojourn there.
Lam. 5
[7] Our fathers have
sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.
[16] ... woe unto us,
that we have sinned!
[19] Thou, O LORD, remainest
for ever; thy throne from generation to generation.
[20] Wherefore dost thou forget us for ever, and
forsake us so long time?
[21] Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as
of old.
[22] But thou hast
utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.

In every generation, I believe, there
are always a few chosen people of God that try to restore God's laws,
commandments and feasts before He comes back.

Isa. 58
[1] Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy
voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their
transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
[2] Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation
that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of
me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God.
[3] Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest
not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye
find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
[4] Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of
wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard
on high.
[5] Is it such
a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is
it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under
him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day
to Yehovah?
[6] Is not
this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
[7] Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and
that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that
thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine
own flesh?
[8] Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy
righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of Yehovah
shall be thy rereward.
[9] Then shalt thou call, and Yehovah
shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall
say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of
thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
[10] And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the
afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as
the noonday:
[11] And Yehovah shall guide thee continually,
and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water,
whose waters fail not.
[12] And they that shall be of thee
shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer
of paths to dwell in.
[13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing
thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine
own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places
of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the
mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it

Jeremiah - I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations - Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah
"In the days of Josiah "
Jer.1 [1]
The words of Jeremiah the
son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were
in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
[2] To whom the word of Yehovah
came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his
reign.
[3] It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of
Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of
Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth
month.
[4] Then the word of Yehovah came unto me, saying,
[5] Before I formed thee in the belly I
knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the
womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

No written law for a long time
(There is appox.
338 years from King Asa to King Josiah)
2 Chr.12 [1]
And it came to pass, when Rehoboam
had established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he forsook
the law of Yehovah, and all Israel with him.
2 Chr.15 [1]
And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
[2] And he went out to meet Asa,
and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa,
and all Judah and Benjamin;
Yehovah
is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you;
but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
[3] Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and
without a teaching priest, and without law.

Josiah
2 Kgs. 22
[1] Josiah was eight years old when he
began to reign, and he reigned thirty and one years in Jerusalem. And his
mother's name was Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath.
[2] And he did that which was right in the sight of Yehovah,
and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the
right hand or to the left.
[3] And it came to pass in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, that the
king sent Shaphan the son of Azaliah,
the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of Yehovah, saying,
[4] Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he
may sum the silver which is brought into the house of Yehovah,
which the keepers of the door have gathered of the people:
[5] And let them deliver it into the hand of the doers of the work, that
have the oversight of the house of Yehovah: and let
them give it to the doers of the work which is in the house of Yehovah, to repair the breaches of the house,
[6] Unto carpenters, and builders, and masons, and to buy timber and
hewn stone to repair the house.
[7] Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them of the money that was
delivered into their hand, because they dealt faithfully.
[8] And Hilkiah the high priest said unto Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the
house of Yehovah. And Hilkiah
gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.
[9] And Shaphan the scribe came to the king,
and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money
that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that
do the work, that have the oversight of the house of Yehovah.
[10] And Shaphan the scribe shewed the king, saying, Hilkiah
the priest hath delivered me a book. And Shaphan read
it before the king.
Josiah (In the 18th year of king Josiah )
[11] And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book
of the law, that he rent his clothes.
(There is appox.
338 years from Asa to Josiah)
[12] And the king commanded Hilkiah the
priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan,
and Achbor the son of Michaiah,
and Shaphan the scribe, and Asahiah
a servant of the king's, saying,
[13] Go ye, inquire of Yehovah for me, and for
the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found:
for great is the wrath of Yehovah that is kindled
against us, because our fathers have not hearkened unto the words of this book,
to do according unto all that which is written concerning us.
[14] So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum
the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas,
keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;)
and they communed with her.
[15] And she said unto them, Thus saith Yehovah God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,
[16] Thus saith Yehovah,
Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof,
even all the words of the book which the king of Judah hath read:
[17] Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other
gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands;
therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be
quenched.
[18] But to the king of Judah which sent you to inquire of Yehovah, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith
Yehovah God of Israel, As touching the words which
thou hast heard;
[19] Because thine heart was tender, and thou
hast humbled thyself before Yehovah, when thou heardest what I spake against
this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a
desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also
have heard thee, saith Yehovah.
[20] Behold therefore, I will gather thee unto thy fathers, and thou shalt be gathered into thy grave in peace; and thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring
upon this place. And they brought the king word again.
---------------
2 Kgs. 23
[1] And the king sent, and they gathered
unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.
[2] And the king went up into the house of Yehovah,
and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the
priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he
read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in
the house of Yehovah.
[3] And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before Yehovah, to walk after Yehovah,
and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all
their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were
written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
[4] And the king commanded Hilkiah the high
priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to
bring forth out of the temple of Yehovah all the
vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of
heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel.
[5] And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had
ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the
places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the
sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.
[6] And he brought out the grove from the house of Yehovah,
without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned
it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to
powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the
people.
[7] And he brake down
the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of Yehovah,
where the women wove hangings for the grove.
[8] And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and
defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beer-sheba, and brake
down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of
Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of
the city.
[9] Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar
of Yehovah in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the
unleavened bread among their brethren.
[10] And he defiled Topheth, which is in the
valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might
make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.
[11] And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the
sun, at the entering in of the house of Yehovah, by
the chamber of Nathan-melech the chamberlain, which
was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire.
[12] And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars
which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of Yehovah,
did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of
them into the brook Kidron.
[13] And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the
right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the
abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the
abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king
defile.
[14] And he brake in pieces the images, and cut
down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.
[15] Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin,
had made, both that altar and the high place he brake
down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the
grove.
[16] And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres
that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted
it, according to the word of Yehovah which the man of
God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words.
[17] Then he said, What title is that that I
see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and
proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel.
[18] And he said, Let him alone; let no man
move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that
came out of Samaria.
[19] And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities
of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke Yehovah
to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he
had done in Bethel.
[20] And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon
the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.
[21] And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto Yehovah
your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.
[22] Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel,
nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
[23] But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to Yehovah in Jerusalem.
[24] Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and
the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land
of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words
of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah
the priest found in the house of Yehovah.
[25] And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to Yehovah with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with
all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there
any like him.
[26] Notwithstanding Yehovah turned not from
the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against
Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal.
[27] And Yehovah said, I will remove Judah
also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city
Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
[28] Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they
not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

Neh. 1
[1] The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah.
And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the
twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace,
[2] That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he
and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had
escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.
Neh. 7
[1] Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set
up the doors, and the porters and the singers and the Levites were appointed,
[2] That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem:
for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.
[3] And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until
the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them:
and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every
one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.
[4] Now the city was large and great: but the people were few therein,
and the houses were not builded.
[5] And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the
rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by genealogy. And I
found a register of the genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found
written therein,
[6] These are the children of the province, that went up out of the captivity,
of those that had been carried away, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon
had carried away, and came again to Jerusalem and to Judah, every one unto his
city;
Neh. 8
[1] And all the people gathered themselves together as one man
into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake
unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of
Moses, which Yehovah had commanded to Israel.
[2] And Ezra the priest brought the law before the congregation both of
men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, upon the first day
of the seventh month.
[3] And he read therein before the street that was before the water gate
from the morning until midday, before the men and the women, and those that
could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book
of the law.
[4] And Ezra the scribe stood upon a pulpit of wood, which they had made
for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and
Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
[5] And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was
above all the people;) and when he opened it, all
the people stood up:
[6] And Ezra blessed Yehovah, the great God.
And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they
bowed their heads, and worshipped Yehovah with their
faces to the ground.
[7] Also Jeshua, and Bani,
and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand
the law: and the people stood in their place.
[8] So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the
sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
[9] And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and
Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto
all the people, This day is holy unto Yehovah your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the
people wept, when they heard the words of the law.
[10] Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the
sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day
is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of Yehovah
is your strength.
[11] So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold
your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.
[12] And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send
portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that
were declared unto them.
[13] And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers
of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to
understand the words of the law.
[14] And they found written in the law which Yehovah had
commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the
feast of the seventh month:
[15] And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities,
and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and
pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick
trees, to make booths, as it is written.
[16] So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves
booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in
the courts of the house of God, and in the street of
the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
[17] And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the
captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of
Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.
[18] Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the
book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth
day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.
