We are now in the 4th month, day 1 – This month has no scriptural name. It is not Tammuz as Judaism and some Messianics say it is.

Basic Bible issues again

 

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts

Acts: 13 [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets…

Luke 24 [44] And Yeshua said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

The Law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms

 The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings (psalms)

Ta Na Kk is an acronym for:

T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books of Moses

N = Navi' eem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)

K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)

At this point, there were neither gospels nor letters.

 

What is sin according to the Bible?

Brother John reports:

1 John 3 [4] Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:

for sin is the transgression of the law.

[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil

Yeshua says:

John 8 [34] Yeshua answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

Many people say, Yeshua changed all things? They use the term, “we are now under the Law of Christ now”.

However, Yeshua said - Matt.5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

 

Some say Christ is the “end” of the law?

Rom.10 [4] For Messiah is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

The word end = goal

Christ / Messiah is our GOAL

 

τελος telos -  tel'-os

 

From a primary word τελλω tello (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly the point aimed at as a limit, the result

 

The Law

Let’s start with the 10 Commandants

Exod.20

[1] And God spake all these words, saying,[2] I am Yehovah thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

[3] Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

[4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:[5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I Yehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;[6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

[7] Thou shalt not take the name of Yehovah thy God in vain; for Yehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

[8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.


[12] Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which Yehovah thy God giveth thee.

[13] Thou shalt not kill (murder).

[14] Thou shalt not commit adultery.

[15] Thou shalt not steal.

[16] Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

[17] Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor’s.

Are you keeping them all as prescribed in scripture?

Are the commandments applicable for today? (yes 2018 and "always")

Deuteronomy, chapter 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always , that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!

Deuteronomy, chapter 11:1 Therefore thou shalt love Yehovah thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, always.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Deut.4 [13] And He declared unto you His covenant, which He commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and He wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Remember:  if you are transgressing any of these commandments, it is sin.

How much sin is going to heaven? NO SIN

Matt.5 19] Whosoever therefore shall "break" one of these least commandments, and shall "teach" men so, he shall be "called" the least"

"in (by them in) the kingdom of heaven "

but "whosoever shall do ( the commandments ) and teach them", the same shall be "called great in (by them in) the kingdom of heaven .

Scripture tells us NO sin shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven; read it for yourself.

The Greek word “en = in” also means “by or with” etc.

John 5:14 - Yeshua said - Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Sin comes in 2 ways:

Ignorant or Presumptuous

Presumptuous, willingly – despite to the Spirit of Grace

Heb.10 [26] For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
[
27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

[28] He that despised the law which God gave to Moses died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

[30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Yehovah. And again, Yehovah shall judge his people.

[31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

 

Saul reports:

2 Cor.13 [5] Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.

1 Cor.11 [28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. [29] For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not discerning Yehovah's body.

 

Some people say, God loves the sinner and hates the sin, wrong

Too any verses for this subject, here are 2 verses:

Pss.5 [5] The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Pss.7 [11] God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

 

Many people say, don’t judge me brother / sister

1 Cor. 6 [4] Saul says: If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

 

We are Gods – meaning we are God’s judges to use God’s word to judge all things righteously.

John.10 [34] Yeshua answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? This is in Exodus, in the Hebrew

Also Pss.82 [6] I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

We do not judge matters by ourselves

Again, we are gods, judges with God's Word to judge righteously

Yeshua said: John 7 [24] Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Lev. 19 [15] Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

There are many other verses.

 

Most pseudo Christians and Messianics mistranslate Rom. 14 and Col. 2:16

Read these letters correctly!

In the letter, Paul is warning the Colossians and us today to "watch out for evil men" outside the body of true believers trying to change God’s word.

Col. 2:16: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath days:

17: Which are a shadow of "things to come"; (future tense) but the body is of Messiah.

Some Greek

Judge - κρινω krino: to try to condemn, to separate, put asunder, to pick out, to be of opinion, judge, to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong, to contend, to dispute

Holy day - εορτη heorte -heh-or-tay' - a festival: - feast, holy day

New moon - νουμηνία - noumēnia - noo-may-nee'-ah - new moon

Sabbath days - σάββατον - sabbaton sab'-bat-on Of Hebrew origin - the Sabbath, 7th day of week, repose from secular avocations;

Also there are 7 Sabbaths in the feasts of Yehovah which are commands to keep from God.

Shadow - σκια skia : shadow, an image cast by an object and representing the form of that object, a sketch, outline

 

Rom. 14 has nothing to do with the Sabbath. In this letter, Paul is talking about food, the clean and unclean, also fasting.

No Sabbath issue here.

These Scriptures below are NOT talking about the 4th Commandment, the Sabbath.

Rom.14 - [1] Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.[2] For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs, etc…

 

Let’s talk about the 4th commandment, which most of the world breaks because of the Catholic Church changing the day.

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a "holy convocation"; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

Dwelling מושׁב - môshâv - seat, assembly, dwelling-place, dwelling, your  situation, location, (at) time of dwelling

The Sabbath is a "holy convocation"

מקרא miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal

קדשׁ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

No Servile work- melakat avodah   מְלֶאכֶת עֲבֹדָה

עֲבֹדָה avodah - work of any kind: act, bondservant, labor, service, tillage, work

מְלֶאכֶת melakat - occupation, work, business public business

 

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. [17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day?

 

Let's talk about the Rapture and the Millennium again

Millennium -The word millennium is of Latin origin, meaning a thousand years, Word not in the Scriptures.

Rapture -This word is not in the Scriptures.

Do you think we will be raptured and then brought back to this earth to reign with Messiah for 1000 years?

Who will reign in Jerusalem on this earth in the last days, Messiah or Anti-Messiah?

Scripture says the Anti-Messiah will be in Jerusalem but not for 1000 years

 

Let’s go back to the first century and read about the Millennium

It was said:

the Millennium doctrine was started by, as they put it, an ungodly heretic by the name of Cerinthus, who lived in the first century.

The Millennium doctrine started in an ungodly heretic by the name of Cerinthus, who lived in the first century. It is true that the Jews generally believed that the Messiah would establish a literal or earthly kingdom.

"The idea of a Millennial reign proceeded from Judaism; for among the Jews the representation was current that the Messiah would reign a thousand years upon earth. . . . Such products of Jewish imagination passed over into Christianity."

"The resurrection would be followed by exquisite delights in the Millenary reign of Christ."

We heard , some people say Christ will have secretaries. L

 

Look up Cerinthus on the net yourselves

 

Then we have Judaism that teaches the Messiah would establish a literal, earthly kingdom and Messiah's reign would last a thousand years.

Did the idea of a Millennial reign proceed from Judaism? Did such thoughts from Judaism's imagination pass over into the so-called Christian and Messianic movements?

 

We are left, at this point, 2018, with such a vast abyss of so-called writings and histories to view and study.

I prefer to use the Word and Spirit of Yehovah for my understanding and discernment.

Nowhere in the gospels did Yeshua ever hint of a 1000 year Messianic kingdom on this earth.

The apostles, in the letters, never spoke of a 1000 year Messianic kingdom on this earth.

 

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?

What is our righteousness?

Deuteronomy 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yehovah our God, as He hath commanded

 1 Cor.6 [9] Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?

Be not deceived:

neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate , nor abusers of themselves with mankind,[ 10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

 

There are many other issues to discuss with others, here are a few:

Where are the Ten Commandments located in scriptures?

Is the leader of you congregation called rabbi or (heavenly) father?

Can you be perfect?

What is love?

What is grace?

What does born again mean?

What was the original meaning of the word Christian?

What is the meaning of the word church?

What is the new covenant?

Who was the new covenant given to?

Do you need to "Fear" the Lord (Yehovah) always?

What does holy mean?

Do you know your body is the Temple of the Living God?

How should I dress as a woman?

Does Yehovah have His own calendar?

Does Yehovah have His own feasts in scripture?

Do you know you are the light of the world? ;

Hath God hath not cast away his people, the Jews which He foreknew?

Always prove all things

1Thes.5 [21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

A caution: to abstain from:

1Thes.5 [22] Abstain from all appearance of evil.

1Thes.4[3] For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication

1Pet.2 [11] Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul

Josh.6[18] And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

Acts.15 [29] That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well

Jude  [21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah unto eternal life.

As Brother John put it:

1 John 5 [21] Little children, keep yourselves from idols,
