Shabbat Shalom

Let’s pray

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

Today is August 20, 2016

August -- Augustus Caesar's month

Latin Augustus "Augustus"
Latin Augustus
mensis "month of Augustus"
Latin
sextilis mensis "sixth month"

Sextilis had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Augustus Caesar clarified and completed the calendar reform of Julius Caesar. In the process, he also renamed this month after himself.

---------------------------------------------------

Yehovah has His own calendar

Today is the 16th day of the 5th month which has no name in scripture

Judaism calls it Av. Not scriptural.

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.

Acts 13 [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets…

Luke 24 [44] And Yeshua said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings (psalms)

Ta Na Kk is an acronym for:

T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books of Moses

N = Navi' eem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)

K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)

At this point, there were neither gospels nor letters.

I can’t believe the last 3 Sabbaths, the topics were elementary I thought, most pseudo Christians believe these.

Some messianic and pseudo torah, Sabbath groups pervert the scriptures and deceive the simple Paul tells us:

Rom.16[17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.[18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Today’s Topic:

How, Where is the Lord Yeshua coming back?

I always notice an association between Yah, Yeshua and the clouds

Let’s read

Dan. 7 [13] I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him. [14] And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Matt. 24 [26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[28] For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matt. 26 [64] Yeshua saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Mark 13 [23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
[24] But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
[25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. [27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Mark 14 [62] And Yeshua said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Luke 21 [27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Son of man comes with clouds

Acts.1

[1] The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Yeshua began both to do and teach,
[2] Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
[3] To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
[4] And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
[5] For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

[6] When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

[7] And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

[8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

[9] And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

[10] And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

[11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

this same Yeshua, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

---

1Thes.4 [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep. (are dead)
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Not on this earth

2Thes.1 [6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
[7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Yeshua shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
[8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah:
[9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
[10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Rev.1 [7] Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Rev.19[11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
[12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
[13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
[14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
[15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
[16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Let’s read on… I always notice an association between Yah, Yeshua and the clouds

Lev.16 [2] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

[13] And he shall put the incense upon the fire before Yehovah, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

Num.9 [18] At the commandment of Yehovah the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of Yehovah they pitched: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents. 2Chr.5 [13] It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking Yehovah; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised Yehovah, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of Yehovah;[14] So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of Yehovah had filled the house of God.

Isa.4 [5] And Yehovah will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

Let's Talk…

May I ask Five Questions?

millennium? The word millennium is of Latin origin, not in the Scriptures

Rapture?  This word is not in any scripture. You must mean the "coming of the Lord Yeshua", caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord Yeshua in the air.

Rapture at anytime? (You must mean that day shall not come until the man of sin be revealed)

Rapture, and then brought back to this earth to reign with Messiah for 1000 years? (You must mean - so shall we ever be with the Lord)

What do we do with these verses?

2Thes.2 [1] Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and by our gathering together unto him,[2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Messiah is at hand.

[3] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;[4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

1 Thes.4 [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep.[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first:[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The Millennium?

The word millennium is of Latin origin, meaning a thousand years

Who will reign in Jerusalem on this earth in the last days, Messiah or Anti-Messiah?

Please click on this link for the "man of sin" http://OneinMessiah.net/manofsin.htm

We read: 2 Thes. 2 [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God , shewing himself that he is God. (no temple as of 2016 AD )

Dan.9[ 27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate , even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

and many other scriptures… But don't trouble me with facts you say...

Look this up yourself on the net

Millennial Heresy, Origins of The Millennium doctrine started with an ungodly heretic by the name of Cerinthus, who lived in the first century.

It is true that the Jews generally believed that the Messiah would establish a literal or earthly kingdom. And even some of them believed that Messiah's reign would last a thousand years.

Here is an extract from Neander's History of Messiahian Dogmas, Vol. 1, Page 248.

"The idea of a Millennial reign proceeded from Judaism; for among the Jews the representation was current that the Messiah would reign a thousand years upon earth. .

. . Such products of Jewish imagination passed over into Messiahianity."

There are many writings that state that Cerinthus had so-called revelations, and things shown to him by angels, alleging that after the resurrection the kingdom of Messiah is to be on earth, and that the flesh dwelling in Jerusalem is again to be subject to desires and pleasures.

Again - he says that there is to be space of a thousand years for marriage festivities." Another one of his doctrines he taught was that Messiah would have an earthly kingdom.

This is the true origin of the Millennium theory.

This language he uses with special reference to the one thousand years Cerinthus claimed would be spent in sensuality. Notice also that Cerinthus believed in an earthly kingdom. Cerinthus lived in the days of the apostle John.

This mixture of Judaism and Oriental philosophy was calculated to make many converts, and this sect soon became very numerous.

They admitted a part of St. Matthew's Gospel but rejected the rest, and held the epistles of St. Paul in great abhorrence." (Gregory and Ruter's Church History., Page 30)

Observe how closely the modern Millennium teachers  of today cling to the doctrines of their founder.

Cerinthus taught that "Messiah will have an earthly kingdom." "After the resurrection the kingdom of Messiah is to be on earth."

"The resurrection would be followed by exquisite delights in the Millenary reign of Messiah." That Messiah would hereafter return, and would reign with his followers a thousand years in Israel.

The only difference is that his modern followers today have dropped the idea of sensuality.

----------------

Another book states that:"Cerinthus required his followers to worship the supreme God.... He promised them a resurrection of their bodies, which would be succeeded by exquisite delights in the Millenary reign of Messiah....

For Cerinthus supposed that Messiah would hereafter return . . . and would reign with his followers a thousand years in Israel." (Mosheim's Eccl. Hist., Page 50)

To sum up this up, the theory of a literal kingdom and reign on the earth was gathered from Jewish fabulous "revelations," "unwritten tradition," "carnal misapprehensions," "pretended visions," "suppositions," and "superstitious imaginations."

Millennialism had the worst heretic in the first century for its founder, and its chief advocates thereafter were rejected by the early church.

From time to time it was revived by "heretical sects."

The vain worldly expectation that the Messiah would establish a literal kingdom caused the Jews to reject him, and his spiritual kingdom.

They only wanted an earthly kingdom; hence rejected and crucified the Son of God.

As soon as the church began to apostatize, and lost the glory of his spiritual kingdom, vain ambitions awakened the old Jewish desire for a literal kingdom.

And so it has come to pass that we have at this time of dead formality a multitude of men teaching the same abominable lie and false hope which crucified Messiah nearly nineteen hundred years ago; namely, a literal kingdom of Messiah.

Source: H. M. Riggle, "History of the Millennium," The Kingdom of God, 1899.

All claim, even today, 2016, that their doctrine is well founded in the book Revelation 20.

So you have Cerinthus or Judaism, I will take scripture

Cerinthus

It is said, the Millennium doctrine was started by, as they put it, an ungodly heretic by the name of Cerinthus, who lived in the first century.

Judaism

Judaism teaches the Messiah would establish a literal, earthly kingdom and Messiah's reign would last a thousand years.

Did the idea of a millennial reign proceed from Judaism? Did such thoughts from Judaism's imagination pass over into the so-called Messiahian and Messianic movements?  Looks that way…

We are left, at this point, 2016 AD, with such a vast abyss of so-called writings and histories to view and study. I prefer to use the Word and Spirit of the Lord for my understanding and discernment.

Nowhere in the gospels did Yeshua ever say or even hint of a 1000 year Messianic kingdom on this earth. The apostles, in the letters, never spoke of a 1000 year Messianic kingdom on this earth.

Read yourself: 2Thes. 2, 2Peter 3, Matthew 24, 25 just to mention some.

Revelations 20 is the only place in scripture where this doctrine stems from .

Rev.20 [ 4] And I saw thrones, (where? does not say on this earth) and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded (these are martyrs) for the witness of Yeshua, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years .

(where? does not say on this earth, these people were dead)

Notice in the Scriptures below, John never says the thrones he saw in his vision were on earth, he never says that these beheaded people will reign on this earth, by the way beheaded people mean they must have been killed for the stand they made for Messiah.

Again, this passage below is not on the earth as we know, this is the last judgment, and it will be over.

[11] And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

[12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

[13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

[14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

[15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.)

There are no other scriptures found in the Bible that speak of a 1000 year reign on the earth after the resurrection of Messiah or anywhere for that matter.

Revelations 20 sounds like Revelations 6:

Rev.6 [ 9] And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:[10 ] And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?[11] And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season , until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Yeshua said:

John 8[23] And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above : ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

John 18[36] Yeshua answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight , that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence .

Isa.9 [6] For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given : and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom , to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Yehovah of hosts will perform this.

Luke 1 [33] And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of His (Messiah) kingdom there shall be no end.

1 Thes. 4[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Doctrine of chiliasm

chiliasm :  χιλιοι chilioi khil'-ee-oy -- Plural of uncertain affinity; a thousand: - thousand.

Thayer Definition: a thousand - Part of Speech: adjective

---------------------------

Judaism

As you can see below, I have posted three different opinions from the Talmud. There are many Sederim ("orders", or major divisions) and tractates (books) in Talmud with the same men with their different opinions.

Talmud - Mas. Sanhedrin 97A

R. Kattina said : Six thousand years shall the world exist, and one [thousand, the seventh], it shall be desolate, as it is written, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.32

Abaye said : it will be desolate two [thousand], as it is said, After two days will he revive us: in the third day, he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.33

It has been taught in accordance with R. Kattina: Just as the seventh year is one year of release in seven, so is the world: one thousand years out of seven shall be fallow, as it is written, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day, and it is further said, A Psalm and song for the Sabbath day,34 meaning the day that is altogether Sabbath 35 and it is also said, For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past.36

The Tanna debe Eliyyahu teaches: The world is to exist six thousand years. In the first two thousand there was desolation;37 two thousand years the Torah flourished;38 and the next two thousand years is the Messianic era,39

(38) I.e., from Abraham's fifty-second year until one hundred and seventy-two years after the destruction of the second Temple. This does not mean that the Torah should cease thereafter, but is mentioned merely to distinguish it from the next era

Talmud - Mas. Sanhedrin 97b - but through our many iniquities all these years have been lost.1

-----------------------------------

Talmud - Mas. Rosh HaShana 31a

It has been taught: R. Judah said in the name of R. Akiba: On the first day [of the week] what [psalm] did they [the Levites] say? [The one commencing] The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof,2 because He took possession and gave possession3 and was [sole] ruler in His universe.4

On the second day what did they say? [The one commencing], Great is the Lord and highly to be praised,5 because he divided His works6 and reigned over them like a king.7

On the third day they said, God standeth in the congregation of God,8 because He revealed the earth in His wisdom and established the world for His community.9

On the fourth day they said, O Lord, Thou God, to whom vengeance belongeth,10 because He created the sun and the moon and will one day punish those who serve them.

On the fifth day they said, Sing aloud to the God of our strength,11 because He created fishes and birds to praise His name.12

On the sixth day they said, The Lord reigneth, He is clothed in majesty,13 because He completed His work and reigned over His creatures.

On the seventh day they said, A psalm a song for the Sabbath day,14 to wit,for the day which will be all Sabbath.15

( (15) When God shall be alone, between the end of the world and the resurrection of the dead (Rashi) ).

Said R. Nehemiah : What ground had the Sages16 for making a difference between these sections?17

No.

On the first day [the reason for the psalm said is] because He took possession and gave possession and was [sole] ruler in His world;

on the second day because He divided and ruled over them;

on the third day because He revealed the earth in His wisdom and established the world for His community;

on the fourth day, because He created the sun and the moon and will one day punish those who serve them;

on the fifth day because He created birds and fishes to praise His name;

on the sixth day because He completed His work and reigned over His creatures;

on the seventh day, because He rested.

The point at issue between them18 is whether to accept or not the dictum of R. Kattina; for R. Kattina said: The world is to last six thousand years, and one thousand it will be desolate, as it says, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day .19 (19) Isa. II, 11.

----------------------------

Isa.2 [11] The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Yehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

[17] And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and Yehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.

Abaye, however, said: It will be desolate two thousand, as it says, After two days He will revive us.20

----------------

Hos.6 [1] Come, and let us return unto Yehovah: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
[2] After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
[3] Then shall we know, if we follow on to know Yehovah: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

(19) A day of God is reckoned as a thousand years, on the basis of Ps. XC, 4, For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday; v. Sanh. 97a.

------------------------

Pss.90 [4] For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

As you can see, there are too many different opposing opinions in the Talmud.

Cor.14 [33] For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace....

My advice is, let us use the Word of God to research all matters.
